Need More Talent

If you compared him to Custer you’re clueless.

He’s 6’3 freak(ish) athlete.

Juco guard.

Doesnt look like a freak to me from that one tape but i guess you have to coach 1A basketball or whatever to really understand freak(ish) athletes.. :ez-laugh:

Are you saying that hes undoubtedly going to be better than a 3 time double digit scorer and lead us to the final 4? I hope so.

I think overall athletic ability is really missing from this team. Where does OU have a mismatch - speed, strength or size-wise? Coaching can take you pretty far, but in the Big 12 when you play against elite athletes every game, it's hard to overcome.

So if this dude is a freak athlete, like Alondes Williams, I'd take him.

Here’s the highlight video I posted. Watch it and the others immediately below and judge this kid for yourself. He was a junior in high school in this video. I said he was a superb athlete (he reportedly has a 41” vertical) with impressive skills.

If we need more athleticism on this team, seems to me this kid may be worth a look.

they don't but they will have a couple more spots i believe ..

Definitely meant: a future spot. They know someone's (a guard likely) leaving.

I wouldn't be surprised to see a big man offer soon (Foumena).

if i was guessing i would think that Mo (at 24) will go make money

and Rick will transfer ..

that is 2 spots .. and that may not be all ..

Sorry you couldnt play varsity basketball in HS and blamed the coach. FYI 4a

Back to comparing him to clayton custer. Its just a very bad comp, its lazy. You saw one clip and his appearance.

would you compare alondes williams and custer? I didnt think so. (not saying he is alondes, just more that type of player)

Lol swing and a miss on your part..

I didn't even say they were similar types of players, I was meaning in terms of production before you had your period everywhere. And again, this was after 1 highlight tape. Who knows if the guy is actually 6'3 anyways but 2 inches between Custer and this guy, prolly doesnt make a ton of difference here anyways because I severely doubt the 41" vertical which is touted on NCSA (that would be better than a lot of NBA players..). NCSA is used largely by kids that aren't getting any sort of actual interest from schools (there are a few exceptions of big time athletes that used it - but the real talent normally does not sing up for NCSA as they get posted on Rivals and the like). I would expect much more monstrous dunks from a 6'3 player with a purported 41" vertical. So i still think it still could be a good comparison.

His white skin color had nothing to do with the comparison. He was the loyola player i watched the most, next to Krutwig. Well, who does the guy compare to then?

Get your panties out of a wad. Have you watched the kid play in person.. Oh you havent, and your basing your guess off of the videos just like everyone else here? Shocker.

Who knows, i could be wrong and he'll be in the nba with his 41" vertical winning dunk contests.. Sorry for expressing my thought on the basketball messageboard about basketball

It'd be nice if you could come back at Coach without being insulting to women.

Must not have watched the video I watched. Dunks looked pretty monstrous to me. Had his elbow above the rim on several dunks. Very impressed with his athleticism.

lol. Hit a nerve I see. You can have your opinion but be prepared to look bad when youre so wrong.

I mean your entitled but watch more than 3 seconds. I posted some videos. Please tell me you think they are the same type of player.

Same videos I watched, before confirming that I believe the 41” vertical claim.

If dunking was the only thing he could do I would not be impressed. But, this kid has skills! Since OU reportedly offered recently, our coaching staff must agree with us.

Well wait and see

You don't think T. Groves has ever tried to get more athletic & quicker? Some guys just aren't good athletes compared to other D1 athletes.

Given the fact it doesn't appear he's ever spent time in the weight room trying to get stronger, why would you assume he's spend time on the other stuff?
