Honestly amazes me we just moved up 1 spot. If we win this week though it won't matter. I could see us making a big leap.

I'm a little surprised, too, but top 15 is nice. There's a big difference in perception between 15 and, say, 17, I think.

I don't care where the Sooners are ranked today. I might care more next week if they win both games, but even then it won't matter much. I figure we will probably be a 4 or 5 seed with a small chance to be a 3.

I will be interested in the end of season ranking.

That is very pessimistic. I think OU will be a 3 or 4 seed with a slight chance of a 2 or 5. To get the 2 or 5 lots of things will have to happen. The 2 pretty much requires OU to win out or at a minimum be in the Championship game. To get a 5 seed, I think OU has to lose to both KU and ISU and then not do well in the Big XII tournament. You have to remember other teams will also lose games.

I think it's realistic more than pessimistic. To be a 2 seed means they are a top 8 team. Even if the Sooners win out I don't they make an 8 loss team a 2 seed. Theoretically the #17 team is a 5 seed. We're at 15 today and I think a 4 seed is about right.

Heard Joe C interviewed last week with T. Rowland. He discussed the things the committee considers and rankings didn't make the list.
However, they get published in newspapers, on the internet and are stuck next to your name when you play on TV…so I want OU to be ranked as high as possible!
It might not help a lot but it damn sure doesn't hurt either!

You're going too much off of media rankings.

We're a 3 seed in pretty much every bracketology right now.

Lunardi talked about us the other day, and basically said the media ranks team based on hype most of the time, not tournament resumes.

As of right now, we're a 3 seed.
