Next 5 Games

I think OU can win every game they play, but I feel like it's highly unrealistic. Stringing together 5 conference wins in a row is always tough, doing it in arguably in the toughest conference in the country is near impossible for any team in the Big 12 this year.

Yep. Especially when 2 of those 5 games are against teams that will likely finish above us in the standings. We have a shot in them all, but if you are looking at them as a group of games, we'll almost certainly lose a couple of them. @ISU is going to be tough.

The Big 12 is too tough to just chalk up wins this year - inevitably we're gonna lose a game here or there where we "shouldn't".

I'd really hope for 4-1 but realistically I'm expecting 3-2. Personally I'd be disappointed if we don't get the Pokes or KU on our home court this year.

If we go 5-0, we have a legitimate shot of winning the conference. That puts us at 8-2, with 5 of our remaining 8 games at home, and road wins over 5 conference opponents.

We have to win the first two, and then take 1 or hopefully 2 of the others.

I'm good with 2 wins more is better

You would really be good with 2? I'll be disappointed if we don't get 2 this week, I'm a little worried about tech but that's a game we need to win. If we get those 2 I know I won't be ok with losing 3 in a row. Really Iowa state is the only one of the 5 I look at and think I wouldn't be that disappointed if we lost. Obviously, with 3 road games and osu it is going to be hard and no givens, but if we play like we are capable we should beat tech and wv on the road. And we have osu at home so hopefully we get that one. I'll be glad with 3, but I really want 4. Let's just hope the boys are greedy and go for 5 :D

I'm good with 2 wins more is better, sure, stay on pace for a winning record in conference at least. I want 5 wins but won't be disappointed with 2. Relax till March. Waiting for their best ball at the end of the season when it matters most

The key are these first two. They are the most winnable. Win those and you have three games to win one and make it a good stretch.

As a coach. Lets get TCU first. No need to look past anyone!

Yeah, 3-2 would be good. Holding out for 4-1 (yes, I'm a homer). Wouldn't that be great! If beat everybody at home (including OSU) and beat weaker teams on road, pretty good season. Probably will be vying for 2nd place in Big 12

3-2 is needed, 4-1 would rocket us up the polls/RPI/projections. Got to beat TCU, Tech and WVU. Even on the road, you have to win those games. OSU is playing very well and I'm not sure we match up well with them. Have to play our best to win that game. ISU, on the other hand, is struggling a bit and we match up VERY well with them - but it's at Hilton.

Another key stretch. Came out of that last one as good as expected.

Agreed. There is always a risk in looking ahead on any game, and that includes TCU in Norman. If our kids do that, they could lose a game some of us have already added to the win column.

Having said that, I think our coaches will have this team ready to play one game at a time...at least I hope so.

I agree also, the Big 12 will be a dog fight every night, we best be ready to go at first tip or we can get beat by anyone in the conference. Saying that looking at the next 5 i would say 3-2 would be good, 4-1 would be outstanding and 5-0 would make me jump for for joy...

I think we match up with OSU very well.
They don't have any true bigs. That's the way to beat us.
