Next season's Big12/SEC Challenge

I fail remember the game OU got killed last year? Kentucky got hot last year.....late. They played like crap early in the season and will be next year too. Plus, OU doesn't suck!

REAL!

That sounds right to me. Last season OU had a good team. But, not a dominate team. And the talent gap has been closed to the point that they weren't going to be dominated.

The previous two years we were capable of losing by 30 to the better teams. I doubt that under Kruger, we will ever revert back to that level of competitiveness.

Believe me, I know OU doesn't suck. We had an incredible season last year.

My main concern is with the front court.

Here's what ESPN wrote last night

"Calipari already has two 7-footers back for next season in Johnson and Cauley-Stein. He has Marcus Lee (6-10 and maybe the most athletic player in the country) and 7-0 freshman Karl Towns as a potential backup frontcourt. Or vice versa. Or some mix therein. Poythress is a 6-8 small forward. Oh, and then there's Trey Lyles, the No. 6 overall player in the 2014 class. He is a power forward with real post moves and 17-foot range who also happens to be 6-10. That's at least two, and maybe three, waves of NBA size."

I don't think Kentucky will struggle early in the season either, simply because of how experienced they'll be next year.

Add that to the fact that it'll most likely be in Rupp Arena, where Kentucky has lost only twice in 5 seasons, and has a better home court winning percentage that Kansas does in the Phog.

It's just a recipe for an extremely tough game.

I just hope it is a home game at the LNC.

OU played "at" Texas A&M last season, although the game was played in Houston.

Didn't Kentucky play Baylor in Dallas last year? Just saying, if we should get a home game for playing TAMU in Houston, they should too for playing in Dallas. I'm not sure how it all actually works with the home games in the Challenge though.

That being said, it would be awesome to have Kentucky come to Norman!

Television ratings may be higher if they played at Kentucky though. Either way, it would be an awesome experience.

I get the feeling that Texas may get Kentucky. Hope I'm wrong.

Cut out the middle man --- instead of taking on Kentucky, let's just take on whatever NBA team wins the lottery on May 20

If the Harrison bros do in fact come back next year, and they all stay healthy, they will be tough to beat.

Wonder how this year's class feels? Guessing most of them thought the Harrisons and at least one of the centers would have left for the pros.

Who starts at the 3 and 4 next year?

It'd be cool to bring all these games to one location and play them over a fri-sat schedule..

I hope this year's class feels awful.

And I hope it creates huge chemistry issues and the whole thing blows up.

Normally I don't root against UK. This past year's team seemed to have a lot of good kids (likewise for their 2012 national title team). It's not their fault that the system is what it is. I don't hate Calipari, either.

But I can't root for little Booker.

Maybe I'll change my mind (shoot... probably will change my mind). I don't blame him for not jumping on board with Haith, but he could've at least gone outside the conference.

Also, off topic: When will I be getting my Gregg Marshall avatar?
