I havent seen anything about this, but Nick did have a very solid game against Arkansas the other night. 13 points, 6 rebounds, and an assist. It was his best game of the year considering they played at Arkansas.. He finally hit some jumpers and was 3-6 from the 3pt line.

Didn't see the game so I can't comment on how he looked. Just by doing some box score analysis, the three made 3pt baskets might be a bit misleading. I doubt he is going to be a 40% shooter for us. Good for him though for stepping up, I know many (including me) have been critical of his game.

He made a couple of threes late in the game to pull OU closer. He had a good offensive game.

Bigabd, I hate like heck to throw cold water on your thread. You're looking for something positive, and you should be rewarded for that. :clap

I'll give Nick credit for stepping up his game in the second half. But he looked totally lost in the first 20 minutes, on both ends of the floor. I also find it difficult to get excited about the threes (3 - 6) he made. We don't need one of two 6' 8" post players on our roster hanging out on the perimeter shooting threes. Keith Clark was soundly criticized for doing it, and rightly so. But OU had Longar, Nate Carter and a good rebounding wing in Tony Crocker on that team. This year's team has Andrew Fitzgerald, Honore' who doesn't play much, and a freshman in Cam Clark.

Fitz at a 6.3 rpg average and Thompson at 6.0 rpg is nothing to write home about. If our two best post players don't stay inside where they belong, Cade Davis at 5.0 rpg may lead the team in rebounding when the year is over.

He did have a pretty solid game offensively, but defensively he just let's his man make layups. He plays defense like a matador olays a bull, and we have no help defense whatsoever so that magnifies his poor defense even more. A lot of being a good defender is "want to", and Nick looks like he just wants to be on offense.
