Nino Jackson is no longer considering Oklahoma

I didn't even realize that PC was only around .500 till the pairings for the regionals. Honestly thought they would be better than that as they don't lack talent. Lewis and Raney are a couple good players. The young guard named Bush isn't bad. They should make state even if they lose to MWC, I think they have to better than winner of Norman vs PC West.

Man,OU seems to lose alot of in-state kids, that are really good basketball players. This happened even before Coach Capel.Go Sooners!!!

The question was asked last week (I think), but if you were from Oklahoma and a top 50 player with offers from national powers, would you go to OU?

It just depends what you want.
Do you want to stay close to home or not?
Do you want to get the hell out of Oklahoma?
And Schools like Duke and Kentucky gives these kids more national exposure than OU ever could.

It just comes down to what a kid wants.

or if you want to win or not. Lets face it two straight years of less than 15 wins does not appeal to some that are not used to losing.

We really just lose out to a handful of schools...Kentucky, Kansas, and Duke

Orton and Azubuike to Kentucky, Williams to Duke, and Henry and Giddens to Kansas.

OU and OSU have kept some good ones here...Sampson had a hard time keeping good ones here once he got them(Alexander and Humphrey).

For the most part it hasn't been to bad...at least I don't think so.

Wow...do you remember the last time we kept an Oklahoma kid here who was a top recruit out of high school...His name was Griffin and we were winning and was top 3 in the country and that sure didn't have any effect on Henry or Orton coming here.

Henry was never coming here because of his dad, and we dont pay as much as Coach Cal

youth hasn't stopped them before...not to mention, their conference isn't nothing to brag about. It was nice to see them beat Mustang...but that Mustang team has overachieved this year. I watched them play Westmoore and I was not impressed.

PC is definitely young.

It's hard to gauge how good they are. I was at the Mustang/PC game on Saturday and it may have been the most poorly officiated game I've ever seen. Both teams deserved better. I'm not sure it decided the game, because they were HORRIBLE both ways, but it definitely took away from what could be a nice matchup.

Mustang doesn't have much outside scoring punch and teams have been zoning them since about mid-season with great success.

I know he visited Baylor a year ago but I never hear his name mentioned with Baylor recruiting targets.

Mustang should be proud of how hard they play on defense...its what makes them good.

You're right.

It's a bunch of really athletic upper classmen. They just don't have much in the way of outside shooting. I'd put their athleticism up there with just about anyone. If teams try to press them and play man to man, that team will more often than not lose.

I heard we moved on. Not a committable offer.

Nino's loss our gain.

MS,

Heard the same thing. Capel wouldn't be able to control him anyways. I bet Self will do alright with him....

I heard Burtschi wasn't at the game due to health issues.

I hope it isn't anything serious.

Not with Sampson, not with Capel....With Who??????????????????/

With Sampson I'd have signed as an 8th grader. :clap

I grew up an OU fan, so long as the coach is somewhat decent, and I'll be playing on NCAA Tourney teams, OU would be my school.

Yea....I wondered about that too. It was a pretty touching pre-game with both teams locked arm in arm at half court praying together for coach Burtschi...
