Nino Jackson is no longer considering Oklahoma

With Sampson I'd have signed as an 8th grader. :clap

I grew up an OU fan, so long as the coach is somewhat decent, and I'll be playing on NCAA Tourney teams, OU would be my school.

It would have been nice if he could have kept Azuibukie signed and kept Alexander and Humphrey from transferring.

He almost lost Hump to TU.

Ryan called Self the day before signing day asking if he could switch to them. Self was out of scholarships, or he would have signed with TU out of High School.

No on Azuibukie. Bookout and Deangelo didn't want to play with him. That is why OU didn't push harder to land him. I'm guessing Bookout would have went to OSU had Azuibukie came to OU. Not a trade I'm willing to make.

Alexander cheated in school, and was going to be ineligible the entire next season, if I remember right. That is why he transfered, not b/c of Kelvin.

As for Hump, he himself has since said that it was a mistake to leave. He was unhappy playing PF at OU (wanted to play SF, saw himself as Scottie Pippen). Funny thing is, he played a lot of center at ND. Not sure what Kelvin could have done here. Hump wasn't a SF, and I don't blame Kelvin for not giving him minutes there.

Per Newsok.com he was hospitalized Saturday wit ha rapid heart rate, it had stabilized on sunday and he was expected to be released yesterday

Does he still have the big beer belly?

I went to his basketball camps when I was in junior high, which was almost 25 years ago and he had a big belly. He looked like a heart-attack waiting to happen back then.

Hump needed to redshirt to work on his shot and that wasn't a luxory that Kelvin could afford at the time. If you remember at the time it was Hump's freshman year when Kelvin won his first tournament game.

That really paid off. Alexander transferred and Bookout was hurt most of his career.

Kelvin should have landed all three of them
Who would have that Azabuikee would end up having the best NBA career out of all of them

Kelvin should have landed all three of them

Again, that wasn't possible. DA and Bookout did not want to play with him after playing AAU ball with him. They told Kelvin that. Bookout nearly went to OSU anyways. That surely would have pushed him over the edge.

Not sure Az would have liked playing for Kelvin anyways.

Guerrero > Nino
Raney > Nino

Based on what exactly? Guerrero is more of a PG and Nino is more of a combo, but Nino is clearly the better prospect. You won't find one evaluater who has watched these players say otherwise.

Not a chance. There isn't a coach in the country who would have redshirted Hump. You don't redshirt Mickey D All-Americans.

Also, Hump left because of his father getting in his ear.

Also, I can back up the story that OU would not have gotten Bookout if Kelenna went to OU.

I agree with that, but it was Hump's transfer year where he had to sit out and get to work on his shot, that made him a better player. Something that he couldn't do at OU, especially with him wanting to be a SF.

Have known Ryan since I was 14. Played against and with him in the summers and winters.

He had the same shot at ND that he did at OU. He just shot the jumper more there. It was the same form and the same flat delivery. He jumped so high he thought he had to shoot with less arc and that killed his shot.

That guy is one of the most athletic jumpers from Tulsa. He could get off the floor and dunk it before most guys could even jump.

Anyone know if Nino is playing this weekend? Edmond mentioned he may not be...
