it was ALL a matter of defensive intensity. when we had it we dominated. when we didnt we let UNT hang and move past us. that's what happens on the road. the other team normally shoots better than you and is more pumped. you have to go in with an intense mindset defensively. defense travels.
ALL I had to hear about the first half was "no fouls committed until the 3 minute mark by OU" to know what was going on. They didnt foul because that would require being close enough to guard someone. Granted, UNT was quicker but that means we should have had reaching fouls if we were actually committed defensively.
Maybe this is a method by Lon to learn playing D without fouling? I don't want to step on his toes. He knows better than I.
Overall anytime you can get a W on the road is a success but this raised brows.
