UNI shot over 58% from the field and 59% from 3 (13/22). They're a good shooting team, but that type of shooting is a bit fluky. I think this game says more about Iowa State hanging in there with 7 players and almost winning despite lights out shooting from UNI.
And remember to take a look at the big picture...UNI lost to Colorado St, Richmond, and at New Mexico (by 19). But they did beat Carolina (without Marcus Paige). I think, when they are hitting from outside, that they can be a pest of team. But unless they repeat that fluke type of shooting, I can't see them beating us.

Just watched a replay of the game. Washnu and Jepperson are very good and Morgan also has his minutes. We are going to have to really contain the penetration if we play them. Washnu is one of the best guards I have seen this year.

ISU's fine, but they were somewhat overranked before yesterday's loss. They were barely in the top 20 in KenPom (not sure where they are now). Barring injuries, I'd tend to expect KU and OU to be the two main conference title contenders.

Totally agree. Depth was going to be a concern for them even before Naz Long went down. Now they're really only 7 deep and their main guys are all averaging north of 32 minutes per game. That's going to take its toll once the grind of conference play sets in.
They were going to be fine with the addition of Burton on depth before they lost Long but we'll see what happens now with long out.
