Kentucky had 22,400 people show up this morning for Gameday at 11 a.m. Their game isn't until 7 p.m. Incredible.

Kentucky basketball fans seem kind of like Nebraska/Alabama/Ohio State football fans in their support of their team. Very impressive, but borderline psychotic.

UK's rabid fan base is why Cal is there and it's why they have regained their national prominence so quickly. It's why guys like Cousins, Wall, etc., are even playing for UK. It's the same with OUr football program. It's supply and demand.

I can only dream of the day OU has even close to that kind of passion for basketball in it's fanbase.

There are only 3-4 schools in the country that have anything close to that kind of passion for basketball, but ours would definitely grow if we had more consistent winners.
