*****Official Fab 5 Special Thread*******

I'm going to watch. I hope like hell that they don't glorify them, though I fear they will

Someone needs to tell Jalen Rose that old people in Florida were wearing black socks with shorts long before he was born.

This. Just finished watching.

I didn't realize those guys were so highly ranked (individual recruiting rankings). 4 top 11 players? That will never happen again.

Maybe, but it probably depends on which recruiting rankings and as long as Calipari is coach I think it can happen. In 09 they had 4 guys in the top 20, 5 in the top 40 including the 2 top players in the country John Wall and Run DM Cousins. Also had 5 1st round draft picks from that team that year.

Great stuff by ESPN btw, for those saying a lot of talk about nothing I was in middle school at the time of the Fab 5 and yes they were that big and had that big of an impact.

Did you watch college basketball in the early 90s?
Sure. I saw them lose to better teams both years. I don't see specials on either of those teams running on ESPN. Darn those teams, I guess if they would have had all their wins stripped and acted like clowns, they too, would get ESPN specials.

Me=yawn about Fab 5

edit: I don't doubt the the special was entertaining and got high ratings, which in the end is what matters and why ESPN ran it.

You are probably the only person I know that would try to argue NC being better than Michigan.
