Sunny Galloway was fired? When did that happen?

And please don't compare 2 non-revenue sports to one of the bigger revenue producers in the athletic dept.

When we hired someone else for the job that Sunny was expecting to get by leaving as HC of ORU to be an assistant at OU, and then that somebody else decided to keep his old job. You are right "firing" is probably not technically correct, but it is the closest thing to it that you'll see out there. As far as your second statement, all I can point to is how the manager of OU athletics seems to handle things, haven't seen much turnover in any of the programs, even in bad years. Some managers may think it is even MORE important to keep consistency in their core businesses, particularly if they have invested a substantial sum of money in that person...which Castiglione, Boren and the OU Board of Regents did when they gave Capel a fat raise.

Just f-y-i NOBODY is happy with OU losing games under any circumstances, I'm certainly not. But the reality is that Capel isn't going anywhere THIS season so constantly ripping the guy and how much he sucks as a coach, a person or whatever does the program no good. That seems to be the missing link here between the so-called "sunshine pumpers" and the "doom and gloom" crowd. Supporting a coach or a program does not make you stupid, it just seems logical when no matter what anybody thinks on here, they'll have no say in what happens as far as the coach and his future at OU.

As it stands, we have a few young guys that appear to be talented, we have at least two other guys coming in next season that appear to be talented, and we are likely to be much better when those things occur. We may even improve this season. Losing to Chaminade was a disgrace, but a team with Blake on it lost to Stephen F. Austin AT HOME, and that group of guys still went on to have some success. Really, I'm not so sure I understand why anyone is THAT upset with a loss to Arkansas, 99.9% of the people that post on here thought that we'd lose that game before the season started, they were right.

Anyway, sorry for the rant, but if every time we lose a game that most picked us to lose we call for the guys head, this is going to be a crappy year on this board.

SFA was a good team that year. They should have played in the big dance. They were 26-6 that year and had they not been upset by Northwestern State in their conference tournament final, they are in the NCAA tournament.

However, I'd also like to point out, Capel should have never lost that game as well and just adds more fuel to the fire about how poorly he has done. Included in that season was 2 or 3 20+ point losses to Texas, and a 30+ point loss to Louisville.

Is this what a one handed clap sounds like? Slapping yoself in tha face? Back in my day when derps acted up we smacked them upside the head, not ourselves. There's a lesson to be learned from that.

what ? sorry you lost me.
