*** Official OU vs Arkansas game thread***

Arkansas misses a 3, Sooner rebound.

Pledger drives in and only gets a charging foul.

Tubbs is screaming for Fitz to get the ball, don't blame him.

Good D leads to bad shot

Newell get break leads to easy bucket for Pledger

70-61 5:41 left, timeout Arkansas.

I'm not one to bash on a player, and I'm not trying to do so here, but Nick Thompson just doesn't show me enough to be out on the floor very often. I know that we don't have a ton of options with the big men, but he plays flat footed, is caught watching the ball most of the time and doesn't have enough bulk to do much down low on either end. It's a tough spot for him because he should be a guy coming off the bench for relief, but we just don't have the guys for that to be the case.

Cade blocks a Clarke 3, great hustle by Cade, continue to suck if Clarke douchebag.

Fitz misses jumper, Cade draws a Charge.

Newell gets it stolen, easy bucket for arkansas. smh

72-61 Arkansas with 4:30 left.

Fitz gets swatted twice, ball goes out of bounds still Sooner ball.

Cade hits a 3, 72-64.

Newell gets called for a handcheck, his 3rd

Arkansas is 16-18 from the line.

Nobles hits 1st and the 2nd.

4:02 left, 74-64.

Mr. B,

I respect your opinion about Capel but I hope he isn't given another year. OU does not have the talent this year or next year to compete with ku, ksu, mizzou, baylor. Where is the future talent to be competitive? Capel is in over his head, if OU has another losing season that will be three out five.

Thompson hits a big 3.

Peterson hits a dagger 3.

77-67 timeout Arkansas with 3:03 left.

Thompson hits another 3, Cade fouls big Johnson and prevents the shot from going in.

77-70 with 2:36 left.

I have a unique idea. Why don't the fans let Joe C. make the decisions about who will coach in the future? In turn, Joe C. can let us do what fans are supposed to do, support the players and team while whining about the officiating.

At the risk of sounding "mysterious" or otherwise...barring additional NCAA issues, I've been assured by a well-placed source Capel is going to get a chance to rebuild. Frankly, the future could be bright with another baller or two in this upcoming class. A certain poster on here pimps Colorado on a weekly basis, look at their record. As for how Capel is coaching, does he look like a guy that is worried about his job? He isn't.

Johnson goes to the line out of the media timeout, makes the first and the second.

20-22 from the line for Arkansas.

Cade gets swatted by Johnson, goes out of bounds still Sooner ball.

Newell with a bad pass, goes out of bounds.

22 turnovers.

79-70 2 minutes

Dude, shut up. I have posted several times this year that Colorado sucks, and I "pimped" them to finish like 8th place last year. 8th place for a horrid hoops program like Colorado is better than normal, and I won that bet anyway. But im not pimping them to actually be a good basketball team. Just give it a rest....

As for Capel, chance to rebuild? You dont get chances to rebuild starting with your 6th season as head coach in major college basketball.

I have a unique idea. Let's put a product in the floor that gives us something to support. If we can't do that, let's find a coach that can.

I would bet if enough fans quit purchasing tickets and turn back their season tickets a change would be made. The OU athletic department is self-sustaining and depends on revenues earned from mens basketball to help fund other sports. If the funding decreases very much Joe C won't have a choice but to fire Capel and find another coach.

man the refs were god awful which is about average for arkansas but then again so are our sooners..

abd, disagreement and argument is cool, but this kind of stuff is not.

Normally I agree qwerty... but this guy literally posts about me in every thread and follows me around a lot when I do post. He calls me out constantly, just like he did in this thread.

Its ridiculous...

This season will undoubtedly be a rough one, but you are right. Fans need to be fans and support the team. I'm not crazy about the way things have turned out and I think Capel is capable of better, but I don't think he should lose his job this year. I understand those who think that he should, but personally, I think it sets us back even further. I want to see Capel get to next year to see how the new guys develop and what Goff, Osby and whoever the other 'ship goes to have to offer before making a decision on Capel.

How could we possible be set back further than we are? This team will finish last in the conference.
