Whoever said we're not an NIT team is a clown. Arkansas was an 8 seed last year and returns all of their starting guards ... who are now seniors. They're a good, tough team, and we've played well overall.

Just need to find a way to get some key stops ...

I agree there are things to be excited about. But the sensitivity about anything slightly negative on this board....that something else that hasn't changed. Yes, Young is really good... But much of the negative stuff hasn't changed from last year. I hope it does eventually. We don't know if it ever will. This team is still soft, not clutch in the least, careless with the ball, and slow of foot. We miss two free throws they make theirs.
It is what it is. Arkansas may be alright but do you think we won't be playing vastly better teams than this? Six in conference looks about right, right now. Hope Doolittle can really help!

Welp, Portland it is. Tough loss to an expirienced team.

Hard to overcome 20 turnovers and McGusty, James, and Manek going 2-14 from 3 on a ton of great looks. Can't have Young being the only one hitting anything.

Also really hard to imagine we fouled more times than
Arkansas did. 23-19. Oh well, on to the next. As we knew coming in, the defense still has to get wayyy better.

Win or lose today, that's a bit of a stretch. We're a little undisciplined, but it's easy to see how much better we are this year from last.

We are better this year....no question. I think I can speak for a few on here, I'm getting tired of not making plays down the stretch and losing close games. We saw enough of that last year.

And even though he had a good game, Trae went into " hero ball" mode in the last several minutes and forgot he had teammates....for some reason.

It was better in our last game.

I think/hope tonight was just a bad outing. I'm very disappointed in our performance in this game. We just didn't play smart. So many turnovers and if you're shooting 27% from three, perhaps it's time to stop jacking them up from deep.

You can speak for me on that, but this game was a little different from many last year. In those, we had leads, many of them double-digit, and couldn't close. Today, it seemed like we were always down by 2-6 points at the various TV timeouts. I just thought we lost to a team that is better than us in November...let's see how we compare come March.

overall, a bette showing. I expected a loss. Piggies will be good. Our youngness showed...lattin is not a leader.

I agree thought Young was a little self centered at the end, but how many passes did he make (some not so good) that SHOULD have been an assist but we didn't convert...

I see at LEAST NIT, maybe ncaa.
