Gettys just said TMG should've cut to the basket on that last play. GOOD LORD could he be any stupider.

Another reason that WW will be better in the pro's than in CBB. He will always get that call in the league.

and the refs had called it all night long and decided to swallow their whistles on THAT particular play. Willie has the right to expect the game to be called the same throughout.

The replay from the far end clearly showed Willie leaping into him. It wasn't even close. He did not elevate in a vertical manner or fade away.
 
I hope we never see that combination of refs and announcers again for the rest of my life.

There's nothing in the rules that say you have to elevate straight up or away when you shoot. The other guy was out of control coming at Willie. Willie was under control, waited for him to get there, then went up for his shot. That is a foul.

The A&M player initiated the contact and then Willie moved into him when he took the shot. That would have been a foul in the first 59 minutes of the game and it should have been in the last minute.

The defender stepped out to defend but Wille picked up his dribble and lunged foward not because he thought he was taking a high percentage shot but because he thought as soon as there was a defender in his face he could get the call. It was unfortunate but I'm more peeved over missed free throws, numerous bricks from three point territory, missed lay ups and too many open shots by A&M in the last few minutes. The turning point came when we had the seven point lead and Cade misses an open three. If that shot goes down, we win.

Willie faked him up and the guy left his feet. As he was in the air coming toward Willie, Willie then went up into him. That's a foul no matter how you want to spin it.

Missed FT's did hurt.
 
Took a step in the right direction today. Just came up a little short on the scoreboard.
