*****Oklahoma vs. Santa Clara Broncos Game Thread*****

I'd dare say no one on this board thought OU would be playing for the championship. I sure didn't.

2/3 of predictions had you beating WSU, and only one person predicted a loss to SC.

The guy you're quoting predicted both wins and is now shocked that OU actually did it.

And he did an excellent job of sliding over to help on penetration. He took at least 2 or 3 charges where he slid over to help, one of the most basic of defensive principles that were missing last year.....

He is going to get better, understanding what to do, where to be, and how to play with his physical limitations...:clap:clap

And his facial impersonation of Grooms is uncanny.

Come on Sawyer, don't knock everyone off their high horse.:)

It is a good feeling right now. I hope it continues, because this board can go from high to low pretty quickly. You gotta admit the guys are playing great team defense and offense right now, and that is enough to get any Sooner fan excited.

Your guys look pretty solid right now as well......

Well I don't HAVE to admit that. I've only watched one half of OU basketball this year, and it was the second half against Santa Clara in which you were outscored by 11.

I will say, though, that your players appear to be playing with a purpose. It's evident that Kruger knows what he's doing (not that that should surprise anyone).

SLU's going to be a tough game. They've beat three BCS conference teams in the past six days (none great teams, but Villanova and Washington are both potential tournament teams). This will be one of the few games where Kruger's coaching resume won't suggest an edge on the bench. Majerus has more total wins, more wins per season and more NCAA tournament wins. I believe only one other coach on OU's schedule this year can say that (Rick Barnes, believe it or not).
