Oklahoman article on the Woodard commit

Nicely done by NewsOk and Scott Wright. It was cool that his entire family and his HS coach were there. Seems like a well spoken, thoughtful young man.

Very humble as well. The antithesis of TMG, and to be completely honest, maybe another 2013 in state PG as well.

I guess humble goes with humble, because Jordan stated that he liked Coach Kruger most because of his humility.

Yea it does.

The thing I love most about Jordan is he will guard the **** out of you. Very evident at state tourney the last couple of years. I live 5 minutes from Memorial I need to get to a couple more games this year.

My wife met Coach Kruger at an OKCPS athletics banquet last night. It was mandated for all coaches to attend and she wasn't to happy about it. But, she said that he spoke at length about wanting quality students and kids before players. He spoke about really recruiting pieces to the puzzle and "role-player" type kids. He wants student/athletes that represent the university well. I know we all get caught up in not getting all the McD AAs and wonder what some other coaches in the conference are selling these kids on, but I believe with all the issues that OU has had, Kruger will definitely bring respectability back to OU. I don't know how long he will stay, but it definitely seems like he is looking at re-establishing a true program instead of just landing a stud here or there and making a deep run in the tourney once every 4 or 5 years. So, to bring this back to topic. Jordan appears to be exactly the type of player and student that Kruger is looking for.

And, I hope, give us a full report on a future Sooner when the games are over.

What neighborhood? I went to memorial and lived in Chimney Hills. That is probably a lot closer than 5 minutes.

I will always have a fond spot in my heart for both Edmond and Norman.

Fairfax. 5 mins is a stretch, probably closer to 10 at most times per day, but about 6 miles.
