With all of the goings on having hired a new coach and what a great guy he is, I've also noticed something else. Romero Osby is going to be a leader on this team. Actually, I think he already is. He has taken ownership of being a Sooner. If he is even remotely as good as advertised by Capel, he is going to be a great asset to this team, not only in his play, but in his leadership and enthusiasm. I know that Cade was very high on Romero back before the season started and was bummed that he wasn't going to get to play with him. Anyway, I have great hope that his career will be a good one as a Sooner.

We will see on the court. Willy was supposed to be this too

Willie never did those things off the court though. I agree with the OP, it appears, from the limited things I've seen, that Osby is the leader of the group, and probably a vocal leader at that.

Actually, I think most people had far higher expectations for Willie on the court. I think that expecting him to be a leader otherwise though, was not something that there was really any prior evidence to support. Personally, it is my theory that JC put too much on him, and expected him to be someone off the court that he wasn't. That's not a slam on Willie, I just think that he does not have the personality to be a really vocal team leader, and to say "this is your team" put him in a position to fail. I always felt like JC tried to make him fill Blake's shoes in that regard and it didn't work.
