Open practices

One of most interesting comments from Coach Kruger today is that practices will be open to public. Not the case my previous 16 years here.

The open practices comment certainly got my attention. Not that I could make it to Norman to catch that many. But opening the door to fans would be a major change from what we experienced under Capel, and in the last few years Sampson was there. Sounds like Kruger recognizes the value of embracing fans and making them feel like part of the program.

My little brother could sit and watch.. of course he also occupied Karen Sampsons courtside seat when Kellen had a HS game, or any other time she wasnt able to be there, lucky bastard.

Seems like Sampson didnt run us out until they got really, really good... maybe paranoia came with that.

This is cool news, I miss watching practice.

Kelvin said he was having problems getting some good kids to focus and having people around was distracting. Then they cut practice times so he felt he had to close practices.

When I went with the rest of the student section back in November they had about 25-50 temporary seats set up for us; it does not have actual seats.
