Oral Roberts

Looks about the same as the last few years to me...Wouldn't be much better if we had UCONN starting 5 at this point in time.

I didn't get to see the game, but from what I've read, it seems like it was horrible.

I'll say it again, if we cannot regularly shoot 40 percent or above, it's going to be a long year.

Outrebounded. Out shot. Only 9 free throws? Come on!

This was about as disappointing as any OU WBB game I've seen. I guess about on par with last year's North Texas debacle.

I do know this. If I were coaching, one thing I would do is firmly tell Gioya that if she ever again passes up a layup as she is going under the basket to then try to toss it backwards after going past the basket ( an almost guaranteed miss for her), she would be on the bench as soon as I could get a timeout - and not be back on the court for at least 5 games. Gioya doing that is absurd. I am sick of seeing it. She is totally out of control too much of the time. Yes once in a while (maybe 2 times per game) she hits a shot - but that cannot make up for so many insane shots she takes. It's one thing to miss a good shot. It is another altogether to even shoot a crazy wild one - which is mostly what she does.

She and TT are two of the most undisciplined players I have ever seen play - high school or college. She along with a couple of others have horrible fundamental basketball skills. They are bad at free throws, defense, dribbling into impossible positions, turnovers, etc., etc., etc.

It is crazy to me how this is a support board for the Oklahoma Sooners. Had the girls pulled it out by one and still played poorly would all of these comments be made? SoonerNorm needs to return to the board or just rename it we question everything OU does. I am not particularly pleased and I assure you coaches and players are not either. But your Sooners are consistently a NCAA team and that does not call for removing people. Yes the team needs a leader but if a recruit would read this board in my mind they would run for their life. Support your team! Wish for whatever but badmouthing the program doesn't help. fill your stands throw your energy into supporting your team they need that now more than the crappy comments #rantover

I've seen other big 12 teams play this year, and we are going to be in trouble, if we want to compete with them.

She got hurt 1st qtr. Not sure what, but went to the locker room and never returned.

Sherri stated on post-game with Brian that she had hurt her neck at some point in the beginning of the game and they were checking it out and she hadn't heard anything. She never did return to the bench so not sure if they took her to hospital or something. Carolyn, trainer, was on bench in second half.

Team is going to need Vivi if we want a chance to stay near the top half of the big 12. Looking at some of the other teams in the big 12 it looks like it'll be another down year for the conference as a whole... Baylor will more then likely go undefeated, and then Cox will transfer to SMU by April...

The guys will have "bad" games from time to time. They run on emotion and mindset a lot more than we think - and like a lot of teams do. Their perfect season got a lot of mud on it up in Lexington - they didn't promptly put in behind them as they should have, so this game most of them thought they needed to play like Durant, try too hard, try to be spectacular and there goes the teamwork, the control, the rhythm and their brains kept frying. This, indeed, was an unnecessary loss but I think they will learn a lot from it - as they learned from North Texas last year.

And more thought - in a poor mindset the team sees ViVi get hurt and they think 'oh, no, how can we win without ViVi? Is she seriously injured? What can we do now? I need to play like a superstar."

I could semi buy that if we didn't have 6 seniors on this team. But maybe she was hurt worse than we all know. Sherri told Brian on postgame that she hurt her neck and they were checking her out. They checked out Samaje yesterday much more quickly. I would have thought, even if she couldn't go back into the game that she would at least come back and sit on bench for duration of the game.

Must be bad even James Hale said they need to look at the program

James Hale should continue to ignore the women's program as he always has. When pressed, he admits that the only program he follows is football. His qualifications for anything are: _______________________

You just misunderstood again.

It wasn't James Hale. The guy said it was Baylor's program that needed to be looked at to see if it was worth keeping in the conference.

Moving Baylor would make our RPI would go way down...

Who knows, Mac.

But based on our performance yesterday, it is likely headed that way anyway - and deservedly so.

It was James Hale and it was his call in show on sports animal. I know a lot of folks here think the program is in good shape. But IMO it is far from that and I really think it's time to take a close look at the Ladies basketball program. James Hale may not care, heck even Boren may not..I dunno. But we as fans should only want the best for the our team. SC best days are behind her far as coaching goes and IMO she is taking OU to the cleaner salary wise.
