We match up well with St. Louis. Their two best players Conklin (PF) & Mitchell (PG) will be going up against our 2 strongest players in Osby & Grooms. We need to stay out of foul trouble and harass those two guys out of their games.

Their other stud is a 6-8 PF who comes off the bench in Cody Ellis. When he comes in for Rob Loe Fitz will need to D up on him. Pledger will need to hold down the fort on Kyle Cassity.

I envision Fitz having a tough time on offense with 6-11 Rob Loe in the paint so we're going to need Pledge & Newell to be on from the outside. I could see Kruger giving Arent minutes to match up against Loe who doen't appear to be much of an offensive threat.

This is going to be a chess match between a couple coaches pushing 500 wins.

That all sounds about right. I didn't get the feeling watching them play that Loe is dominant force in the paint, but he can stretch the floor. This St. Louis team is really good. They are by far the best team we have played this season and I will be really impressed if we can pull out a win. I am worried that we may not be able to generate the turnovers that we need to win this game. Villanova tried to pressure them and it led mostly to easy baskets.

MN, I agree that we need to be quick to adjust from pressure to halfcourt D or we'll get burned. The good news is they don't score like Santa Clara or Washington state, so I think we'll have a chance to stay in the game.

The Billikens shoot a lot of threes. They took 27 in the Villanova game, and made 14 of 'em. If they're on, OU will have to do a better job of defending from distance than we did in the second half of the Santa Clara game.

Tough to lose to anybody hitting 51% from beyond the arc; I think we can take some of that away from them. As I said in another thread though, I think that Saint Louis is a Top 30 type team, not sure we are there [yet].
