Other College BBall Thread 2024-5

Louisville with a win in Virginia by about 20. Virginia isn't at the level they've been in recent years but still that looks like a really good win.

Georgia Tech, Arizona, Michigan, Central Arkansas, Stetson, Prairie View A&M all won today. That’s good for OUs SOS

Oklahoma State looks to be as bad at basketball as they are in football

Lol no. The latter two teams will hurt our SOS all season no matter how they do in their leagues. The difference between being 320 or 350 doesn’t mean a thing

GA at home leads KY by 13 at half
FL at home leads TN by 19 at half

Going to be very tough to get road wins against the top half of the conference. We really need our home win tomorrow.

AZ leads at WV by 11 at half. That is (or could possibly be) helpful if it holds up.

Louisville leads Clemson.

Florida is very good. They played a pretty solid noncon and absolutely bludgeoned most their opponents, and they battled UK in Rupp this weekend.

the #1 team in the country gets blown out. It’s gonna happen. I hope I am not wrong when I say shouldn’t be worried yet. 9-9 in conference still trust.

Georgia is whooping up on Kentucky. This conference is unreal. OU may be a good basketball team but simply not good enough.

Arizona destroyed a ranked WVU team in Morgantown.

Louisville beat Clemson who was 4-0 in conference play.

Georgia Tech lost to Syracuse by 7
OU is certainly getting some help from their non conference opponents. Just get the win tomorrow. 🙏🙏

FL is good but TN looked every bit as bad as we looked against AL. It can happen. Clean up D and rebounding and it can be a huge swing for us. Hopefully, offense is cooking tomorrow. Feels like a must win.

Side note. I didn’t realize Caleb Grill was at Mizzou now. Good player but haircut is even worse than the one he had at IA St.

My biggest fear is boom soon is right —- we are good but just not good enough.

I wondered about that this year with the football team

Still going to hold judgment until i have seen a few games

He’s been there for a while. This is at least his second season with them, maybe his third.

As for the Tennessee comparison, it’s apples to oranges. I’m sure that if Rick Barnes had a history of losing at least 10 games per season in conference, their fans would be concerned, too. There’s a difference between having several complete meltdowns a year, like we have under Moser, and having an occasional clunker in the middle of winning a dozen or so conference games.
