OU at ISU

I think tonight's game will likely be tight the entire game. ISU is normally about the same as OU when it comes to athleticism (not bad, not great). Also like us, they normally shoot well BTA. This could be a game that is decided by foul trouble and free throws. We have to stay out of foul trouble, especially Jo and Nicole. It is also a game in which players like Aaryn and Sharane will likely have an advantage because of their quickness, jumping, and ability to get inside.

This would be a big win if we can pull it off.

It will be very difficult to go to Ames and get a W. With our group of kids, I sure wouldn't write them off though. I think the key to winning comes down to rebounding and limiting 2nd chance points.

These kids have exceeded my early expectations, and I don't see them stopping any time soon. Fennelly is an outstanding coach and he and Sherri have great respect for one another. This will come down to the little things. Rebounding, taking care of the ball, and defense. Both teams shoot the ball really well, and the Sooners historically don't shoot well in Ames. I look for a very close contest and the Sooners go against the odds and squeak out a very difficult win. Of course I am a homer, and really want these kids to succeed. Should they take their first loss, it won't be because of lack of effort.

Exactly! Iowa State may be the most difficult road game of every year for us. We have trouble keeping up. When we do get a lead we seem almost incapable of putting a dagger in their hearts.

We win this one and the only one we may lose on the road is Baylor -- and by then we might be due for an upset.
