OU at ISU

ISU owned the paint, Griffin had no chance, she was lost and finally Sherri just took her out.

She was lost, no doubt. How someone that tall can only collect 3 rebounds in a game is beyond me.

Morgan missed 9 layups and 4 other shots within 6 feet of the basket, turned the ball over several times and looked absolutely horrible all night. I wondered if she had the flu or what!

Just a bad game all around. Hope they work on it before Saturday.

Griffin started the game well, IMO, particularly on the defensive end. But it got progressively worse.

One good thing. The womens team got to eat at M Mannings house the day before. Its good to see that they took the time to visit a players home. It truly seems to be a family atmosphere.

We need more points from our post players.... Campbell had a good game....See you on Saturday....Let's get us another win over Texas!!!!

It's too dang much of a family atmosphere, if you ask me.

Could be, hadn't really thought of it like that. I just get flabbergasted with all the fundamental mistakes we make game after game, year after year. The lack of block outs, the missing of lay-ups, the constant bounce passes into traffic, blah...blah...blah. Still, we should have a decent season, will more than likely make the "Big Dance", and with some luck and a little more intestinal fortitude, maybe make it to the Peak in the Sweet 16, after that, who knows.

Oh really? So being in on all the team meetings and individual meetings with players gives you this insight?

Every coach has their own style and a vision of the atmosphere they want for their program. They all try to recruit players that will excel in their style and atmosphere. A player that would thrive with Kelvin as a coach might not do well with Lon Kruger's as their coach and vice versa. A player that grows and matures in Sherri's system might be miserable playing at ISU and vice versa. All 4 coaches have distinctly different styles and all 4 are excellent coaches. There is not a single right way to achieve success.

When Jo gets in foul trouble there is a high probability of the other team dominating the boards. Nicole doesn't rebound well for 6'7" and Portia is still trying to get her bearings out there. The other gals try hard but are undersized. Christopherson had her way in the paint all night long. I thought Moody got into the lane way too easily for most of the night. Jaz was the only one who came close to shutting down her drives. Moody didn't score a bunch off of penetration but it did set up her teammates for open looks.

Exactly. It seems that the defininition of the right "type" of girl has become more narrow over the last few years. It seems to have gone way past go to class, be a good team mate, and don't get arrested.

I agree. We lost a good rebounder when Whitney got hurt and now it is pretty much up to Jo. Griffin just isn't going to go after boards the way she should.

Morgan plays out of control MOST of the time

seriously? Morgan is a great point guard who had an off game. It will happen when you have to play as many minutes as her and aaryn are because others are not stepping up to allow them to get breathers. Your blindness in the force is pathetic, why dont you crawl back under the pile of bantha poodoo you came from and leave the anaylsis to those of us blessed with force.

p.s i must give sharane and jo props they have stepped it up for us recently. The force is strong with them.

I think the opposite is true. I think the definition of the "right type" of girl has widened, but that's just my opinion. Since none of us has a clue as to what the real criteria are, we're all just blowin' smoke anyway.

Yes Yes, I was wrong to say that, just frustrated Morgan has played great
