Well we were like 3/17 from 3--Isaiah was pretty pathetic, Niang has like 20, we forced a lot of bad shots....and we're down by only 4. We can beat them easy if they play smarter and our senior PG shows up

Well...that first half was somewhere between poor and sh!tty. We are fortunate to be down only 4. ISU is shooting just under 46% and 40% from 3. We are shooting 36% and 18% from 3....yikes. Rebounds are about even and we have actually taken care of the ball better than they have.
But it's painfully obvious that we need to take the ball to the rim more because it's there for the taking. Instead, we feel we have to take 3s constantly....I'm pulling my hair out. I'm hoping the coaches drill it into their heads at halftime that this game will be won in the paint. The 3s will usually be there anyway, but why not take what the defense is giving us.:facepalm

Bad half by Cousins. We didn't play all that intelligently in the first half, and IS took advantage of it. They drove at will, and we didn't even attempt to impede the drive. I doubt they shoot as well in the second half, but neither will we if we don't start taking better shots.
