**********OU-Kansas State Game Thread**********

Last two minutes have been one big clusterduck as it was nothing but a compilation of how not to play the game of basketball.

Offense has been stagnant since Hornbeak entered and Woodward was benched. I didn't notice any defensive improvement either. I can't say I agree with Lon's decision to take him out. This was a game for the taking. Too bad we couldn't quite get it done.

As poor as Woodard played, Jelon looked even worse out there today. We can't have both our PGs and Cam plays this poorly. We've certainly got a lot of stuff to work. This one was really a missed opportunity.

I said this earlier this year. I have never seen a team miss more layups. It is truly unreal.

We need to take our lumps on throwing this game away and see if we can somehow compete with Baylor on the road. We have faired pretty well against them when in underdog situations. After that game, we need to take care of business during the stretch of games that are more winnable. Hard to win on the road in this league.

That is the best way to describe it.

This KSU team isn't overly impressive. Guessing they finish middle of the pack this year, and it wouldn't shock me to see them fall to 6th or 7th in the conference. But you can't play as poorly as we did on both ends, and expect to beat even a decent team on the road.

Play even an average game, and we win tonight. That is what sucks most about tonight. That, and the way several of our better players are trending on offense.

Well said. We were below average in everything.

Would to have liked to see the result if cam gets the 2 FF with us down 3

To the Emaw lurkers: sure miss fattyx3 - RIP.

Seems mentally not there. Might have been we are ranked for the first time since 2009 hangover. We are a much better team than K-State and this team will avenge this game back at the LNC.

No way. Jelon had the offense a bit more stabilized, didn't take as many bad shots (didn't get any favors from the refs when he drove), and was way better than Jordan on the defensive end.

K-State is good on defense. Sucks on offense. But they'll probably be an NIT type team. May even find their way in the NCAA if they pull a couple upsets. Tough loss on the road but we didn't play well enough to win. You don't give up offensive rebounds, and make 1 FG the last 6 minutes and win on the road.

They're ok and I know what the stats say. We got good looks we normally hit. This is a game we should have taken and didn't.

Tough loss. We played poorly and we're better than this. It's very disappointing because I think we lost a game we should've won, but play like **** and this will happen.

Damn.

Well it shouldn't be too hard to find those. I've made a few of them myself. KSU shouldn't feel too good about this win though. We gave this one away with our shooting.

But, yeah, I miss Fatty too. We could really use a Fatty joke or two in this thread to cheer me up.

Teams have to overcome officiating but I saw four tough calls against OU in the last four minutes and one against KSU

Not to mention the bogus 10-second call (half court) that cost us 2 points (absolutely unacceptable, IMO), and the terrible foul called on us at the end of the half for 3. There was no contact.

Baylor is going to be a tough match-up. Long and athletic.

OU played like garbage and still should have pulled that one off

Everyone shot bad, but Woodard and Hornbeak together were 1-12.
