Andrew needs to not shoot the ball every time he gets it in the post. He had a solid game, but his game can't be so transparent.

Three quick comments.

First, if 7 points and 7 boards is a bad game for Osby he is a pretty darn good. Obviously OU needs more points from him but that is still a solid game, especially for 21 minutes with foul trouble.

Second, Washington had a great game. 8 points and 6 boards off the bench is outstanding. Perhaps he will be our answer for a post player from the bench.

Third, Neal had nice stats. 5 points (on 100% shooting), 2 boards and 1 assist is a nice contribution for a sophomore bench player. If he continues to improve he might be a guy that can average 7 points and a few boards next season off the bench.

Biggest stat and I hope it becomes a norm rather than the exception is Clark's eight rebounds. Highly efficient game from him.

Arguably he has been the best player on the team the last two games. What I like about this years team is you can make reasonable arguments that three guys are the best player on the team. If M'Baye is truly the best, OU is going to be solid next season because the top 6 or 7 all return.

This may have been mentioned in another thread, but how can u have a charge and a blocking foul on the same play? That call was either a charge on Osby or a block on ORU! You can't have opposing on ball fouls. And I'm pretty sure the officials can't review it on the monitor. If they couldn't agree it should have been a jump ball. Unless there's a rule I'm unaware of then that call was ridiculous.

Did two different officials have simultaneous opposing calls? If one official signals a block and the other a charge, you book both fouls (at least that is the case in high school, college I don't know).

Who defended Warren Niles? He is a big scorer and had 0 points and only took 6 shots.

That is what happened. It also happened in the West Virginia KSU game but the guy calling the block backed down and it was called a charge on KSU. It was a big play because its was Samuels (sp?) 5th foul. Frank Martin was pissed.

Yes two officials had opposing calls. Hmm i never knew that, I didn't think they could charge both fouls.

It's a little known rule that you can book both, no different than a double foul that occurs with two post players fighting for position. In the officiating circles it's called a "Blarge" and is a HUGE no-no when it comes to evaluation. Guarantee Curtis Shaw (head of Big XII officiating) gets tape of the two Blarges and chews both crews a new one.

Didn't get to see either game, so really couldn't tell you who was at fault. Generally one of the officials needs to hold their call and yield to the other as it happens...sometimes that doesn't go to plan.

In our game the officials went to the monitor and watched the replay and still charged both players! Weirdest thing I've ever seen.
