It's more about UT being overrated than any disrespect for OU. The Whorns have only finished as high as 2nd one time in the last six years. Barnes recruits well, but IMO he underachieves with the players he brings in. Oh, he has had some really good teams in years past. But none of his teams have been a factor in the Big 12 or on a national scale since the 2007-2008 season.

Having said all of that, I think our spot in the pre-season poll is about right. With the possibility that Thomas may not be available and Buford apparently headed for a redshirt season, I can see why Big 12 coaches didn't pick us to finish higher than third.
