OU-Stanford

Right now, I want anyone in the game that thinks they can hit any shot. Gioya ha lost her magic.

Stanford now at 50%. You don't beat them when they shoot that well. We threw our game off by going inside.
 
Why do we leave them open in the corner all the time. It has been a problem for 2 years.

Sherri has to be teaching that. Anyone know why she would want them to play that way?
 
Just letting Stanford off the hook by not playing Manning or Sharane right now! Samuelson can't guard them! This is frustrating. Complete Panic.

Total collapse...very little discipline.

Move the ball and shoot from outside. try to play ssome defense.
 
Well, Stanford isn't as good as they look right now, and we aren't as bad as we look. But, they have hit 10 of their last 11. At some point, you have to be in front of a shooter. I think some of our players are tired. Gioya just didn't get in front of Samuelson. Nobody is rotating to cut off the lane.

Mostly, we didn't take advantage of Stanford's poor play in the first half, and we are paying for it.
 
When you can't guard the perimeter or defend the paint, you aren't going to win.

I'd take her scoring ability over everyone but Gioya right now. And she hasn't even played.....

Our players are afraid to defend. If they do a foul will be called. So they are a bit stymied about what to do.

It is a common problem on the road. You have to get out to a big lead in these situations. We were headed that way until KK had to sit so long.

Stanford has as many fouls as OU and they are still playing defense.

I like Maddie. But did you see that wide open corner for a 3? That was 100% Maddie's fault.

WE LOST THIS GAME! STANFORD DID NOT WIN IT.

WE LOST IT in the first half because of stupid, stupid, stupid fouls in the first half. Absolutely no excuse for a team that has played nearly 35 games together. Kay-Kay and Carter haven't learned a damn thing about fouling.

WE LOST IT by disappearing and going dead cold in the first 12 minutes of the second half. NO life and movement in the second half.

WE LOST IT by not being able to guard perimeter shots.

WE LOST IT because our coach won't try anything new EVER.

Extremely unhappy and disappointed.

If this team is this Jekyl and Hyde next season, I'm blaming Sheri for putting up with it.
