Why he gets the minutes he does....I will never understand. He gives us nothing. Outside of Reaves today, our guard play is once again pathetic both offensively and defensively. And it's a severe weakness that needs to be remedied in recruiting.

It used to be guards were the scorers and the bigs would pull down the rebounds and get garbage baskets.

Regardless of what happens in the second half, this program is going in the wrong direction and has been for 4 years. They are predictably average and they wilt at the end of every season. Look at where we are! Hoping against hope that we just make the tourney.

Just making the tourney isn’t the goal every year. There was a time when we competed for the big12 title. We did t win it but we competed like hell. We don’t do that at all anymore. Apparently, being a 10-11 seed in the tourney is the goal.

Being a 10-11 seed was the floor of the program for 30 years. Now, it’s the ceiling. Is that good enough for you? To me, it’s not.

Maybe wouldn’t say we are going on the wrong direction, because we aren’t going down from the last 4 years, but we are in the wrong place. Also saying we compete for titles consistently is a stretch. We’ve one 1, which we tied for, since Billy left.

I agree we shouldn’t be satisfied with competing for 9-10 seeds in the tourney. My opinion is I want the program where we finish in the top half and are in the sweet 16 often.

We are not there right now or close to it.

This is the other VERY frightening thing, b/c Lon plays him like he is clearly the future, when he needs to be far, far in the past. How does he not see we play 4-on-5 when JB is out there?! It boggles my mind. I've said it since Day 1 and I just, quite frankly, do not understand.

The "skating on ice" accomplishes nothing such as losing at home to Tex followed by getting reamed by TCU. Playing better against these 2 teams helps placement in the tournament while the reality of play does not.
