+++++OU-TCU Gameday Thread+++++

Bounce - I Love Woodard but for 3 years he CONSTANTLY misses key free throws down the stretch - now he's made some good ones but literally 75% of the tough games when he steps to the line in clutch - he has missed one of two- please don't just say "he's clutch" go back and check it out - what I said is soooo fact based it will scare you - I am NOT a Woidard hater I love him but I have followed this point since he was a freshman - there is no arguing my point

I understand your point. It wasn't too long ago he was 90% on the year. The graphic showed he is down to 84% now. He's missed a few. In his last 5 games he has shot 10-17 from the line or 59%.

Well, we now get our longest break since we got back from Hawaii, hopefully it helps

Joey Brackets has us clinging to the final 2 seed. If we go one and done in KC, we can kiss a 2 seed and the chance to play in OKC goodbye. That's why it's imperative that Baylor wins today. The way we're playing right now, we have no shot against Iowa State, the likely 6 seed.

Not really. Monday - Saturday = Saturday - Thursday.

I'm relieved we pulled out the win. TCU played a terrific game. We certainly didn't shoot the ball badly, and the bench scored as many points as we can reasonably hope for...but those darn turnovers kept it close. In the post-game interview, Lon said they pretty much have to work on everything - spacing, screening, passing...not stuff you want to hear in March.

We got 2 points from our bench in the 2nd half.

No, we had at least 5. Walker hit a 3 and Dante sunk a couple of free throws. Regardless, if we can get 16 points from the bench every game going forward, we'll be tough to beat.

You make this same claim every year and every year you are wrong. I'm not getting into this with you sgain

Insane that we are a fringe 3 now. Our resume is really really good. Better than other teams above us

He is dead-on about passing. I wanted to strangle some of the laziness out of their passes.

These guys have picked up so many bad habits this season. Awesome shooting masked other things we should have been working on more.

you're exactly right. he actually has been. but the recent slump just seems to stick out. probably the recency thing.

Going into today he was 12-16 on late/close (under 2 minutes) FTs

Memphis
2-2 -1

Hawaii
2-2 +3
2-3 +2

Harvard
2-2 +7

OSU
2-2 +3
1-2 +4
1-2 +7

LSU
0-1 +3

+/- indicates the score we were up/down by

Iowa State is just the type of team that could get our offense going again.

It's not fact based for this season.

If you badger me into going into previous years, I will.

A fact based claim is something you should be able to prove. So, since you continues to say Woodard chokes on free throws at crunch time, maybe you're the one who needs to prove it? I'm betting you can't, because that is not an accurate statement

I would rather see JW shooting free throws when the game is on the line than anyone else on the team not named Buddy Hield.

Definitely want Baylor to pull off a W tonight over WV. Would keep ISU out of our 1st game. That would be big in KC.

Lunardi is an outlier. According to bracketmatrix.com, Michigan State would have to do something great to steal the last #1 from OU. Notice that not a single bracket has OU worse than a #2, which is something only Kansas and Villanova can claim.

Lunardi thinks North Carolina has a #1, which is just silly at this point.

Thanks, Michael.

For those who haven't got the memo yet, Joe Lunardi does not set the bracket for the NCAA tourney.
