+++++++OU vs. Iowa State Game Thread+++++++

Sad team. We should get to tweet how "Sad!" we are. Buford comes in, steal and slam with 10 seconds of PT. Lon

And then air balls a 3 and we all remember why he should only play when +\- by 20.

I mean OU is undefeated when Buford was in the starting lineup.

Welp, that was that. If Woodard's injury keeps him out the rest of the season, OU may not win again this year.

I hope JW is okay, don't want him to be hurt. Be a sorry way to end a career.

But, the reality is that OU is playing for next year anyway. I would hate it for him but it might speed up DSM and Shepherd's development for next year.

Lost to Wichita State.

But can't blame DB. He contributed 4 points and even a rebound!

I'm not going to base my TOTAL opinion of a player on a season where he has not been completely healthy (groin issues). He has also missed some time due to being disciplined, etc. I realize that's on him, but if he can get healthy and quite being late to meeting, he has a lot of ability and can help this team.

The problem is, he's kind of a tweener..not quite quick enough to hang with most guards/forwards at the 3, and not quite physical enough to consistently be effective at the 4. He can stroke it from 3 at times though..and is athlectic and can bring energy to the team. He just needs to start doing it!!!!!!!!

I think that is exactly what we're seeing. Nothing else makes sense to me. And to be honest, that may be for the best at this point.

Listening to coach on radio post game... If I did not no better I would hav thought we would have won game..sad

God this team is SOOOOOOO bad. This might be the worst Oklahoma team since the 1980-81 team that went 9-18. For those that can't fathom that statement, by sheer record it might possibly be.
This may be the worst team in the entire history of OU basketball. I've never seen anything close to this disaster. Coach and team.

Sadly I think Texas is better than us and with more talent

He's a great athlete. And you're right, can stroke the 3 in stretches.

But I disagree about the energy. He's as lethargic as any defender I've seen here. Doesn't box out. Needs a change of scenery. This coaching isn't working for him.

Lethargic on D? He's not the best defender but that criticism is invalid. He always goes for blocks and skies trying to get a rebound. And besides, this team has worse defenders than him on the roster.

We're talking about Buford.
