OU vs Mizzou..... 6pm tonight

Is Austin Reaves a NBA guy? He is athletic, can shoot, drive to the basket, defend, dribble. Seems like height might be his biggest obstacle. He's better than Cousins was and Cousins had a cup of coffee in the NBA.
In my 100 percent biased opinion, he's a late 1st round talent.

I would say no... really good college player, but he's not an NBA guy. He will make a nice living overseas, if he chooses to do so, but I don't think he has a chance in the NBA.

Kenpom currently has Missouri at 49, not so bad.

The SEC preseason poll had them at 13. If the 13th best team in the conference is 49 in Kempom we can kiss being the #1 conference goodbye

We still struggle with interior defense but it is what it is.

Yep. It will be a liability but we can still get better there. Manek struggled and it was asking a lot of him to not help. Good switch to Doo and more help later. But I also thought Mizzou made a mistake by not continuing to post and feed their big when Doo was on him. They often had him setting high screens and not ever getting back in a good post position.

Kuath had also spelled earlier but we lost offense when that happened plus he still needs to work on helping without completely coming off his man. When he didn’t get the block the Mizzou big was there for easy follows.

He scores & shoots better than Cousins, but not by a whole lot. Cousins was way more athletic & a way better defender. Reaves looks good & can make a good living off basketball but I’ll take Cousins.

Didn’t get to see last night’s game, glad to hear OU bounced back well with a nice win.

I love Cousins and think he was really good, but I think it's a stretch to say he is way more athletic than Reaves.

Isaiah Cousins? from the Hapoel Jerusalem team?? I know you're not talking about him because he was by no means "way more athletic" than Reaves and he didn't have half of Reaves' offensive game.

Yes the guy who was a good G-Leaguer for awhile & is playing overseas. He’s a lot more athletic, Reaves can score in more different ways. Also Reaves doesn’t have half of Cousins defensive game.

If we get after the boards and shoot just halfway decent we will be a tough team to beat. I have a feeling we will lay a few eggs during the year. But I expect us to be something around a 10 seed.

How does he compare to Jordan Woodard?

I would say they're very comparable, both physically and skills-wise.
Both do a lot of things well. Nothing particularly great.
Hopefully Harmon turns out to be a much better pg. Woodard never did well as a pg.

I'd bet that Reaves has a better vertical. Cousins was great defensively, no doubt about that. I'd bet on most of the combine-type tests that are designed to measure athletic ability, the two are very comparable. I'd be shocked if either would measure significantly more athletic than the other.

Reaves is a good defender. His offense game is light years ahead of isiah. I loved isiah as well.

Light years ahead? Come on... that is pure hyperbole.. Isaiah averaged 13 on a team with Buddy Hield and Ryan Spangler. Reaves is the best scorer on a team of guys who are suspect on offense. OU gets points because of Manek, Doolittle, etc. You saw it last night... when Doolittle went out of the game OU basically fell apart and just stood around.

No joke. I’d take reaves any day over Isaiah.
