He's currently sixth on the all-time list for made 3-pointers with 173.

Someone with access to a media guide will have to post who is above him, how many they have and if he has a chance to pass the leader next season.

He's also 27 points shy of 1,000 for his career.

I'm looking at last year's media guide and I think 173 would put him 6th.

1. Terry Evans 259
2. Hollis Price 241
3. Tim Heskett 215
4. Tony Cricker 198
5. Cade Davis 181 (adding up his totals from ESPN)
6. Steven Pledger 173

According to Soonerstats.com the career leaders are....

1. Terry Evans 259--698 .371
2. Hollis Price 241--615 .392
3. Tim Heskett 215--540 .398
4. Tony Crocker 198--540 .367
5. Cade Davis 181--531 .341
6. Steven Pledger 173--463 .374

I would say he's a shoe in to reach #3 on the list ahead of Tim Heskett and could reach #1 by the end of next year. Here's the list:

1. Terry Evans -- 259
2. Hollis Price -- 241
3. Tim Heskett -- 215
4. Tony Crocker -- 198
5. Cade Davis -- 181
6. Steven Pledger -- 173

With 4 games left, he could move into 5th. If he does not hit another 3 this year, that will mean he has to hit 86 next year to pass Terry Evans. He has hit 67 this year. If he only equals that success next year, he will be 1 behind Hollis Price.

So I would be willing to bet that he moves into 2nd, especially considering that we could play in the post-season next year.

Keep in mind that he has done this without playing a single post-season game. Everyone else on that list played in the post-season in multiple seasons.

I don't want to jinx it, but he could easily get to #1 by the end of next season, barring injuries of course.

he is averaging 2.48 per game this year & 1.92 per game for his career. Using this seasons pace and assuming he has 36 career games remaining ( obviously this is an unknown variable) he would end his career with 262 made 3's, which would edge out Evans for the number one spot. Using his career average of 1.92 he would end up with 242 edging out Hollis for #2.

Good point. Kid can definitely fill it up.

And he's got four more games to go this year, including first round Big 12 tourney game, and five if they can get a win in KC. I could see him getting at least 10 more.

Looks like he's got a shot if he keeps up this pace.

Soonerstats has Pledger at #6 on the career three point list after tonight's game. Assuming those stats are accurate, that puts him 8 behind Cade Davis for 5th place and 25 behind Tony Crocker in 4th place with 198 made threes.

One would expect him to finish the season as a solid 5th, and it seems likely he'll pass T Crock in the 4th position next season. He would need a banner year from three his senior year to finish better than third all-time. Heskett is in 3rd place with 215 career threes. I think that's doable. But with more offensive firepower (potentially) on next year's team, he may not get enough touches to move any higher on the career list.

Barring injuries, he's going to get to at least 2nd, and has a very good chance to get to 1st. He's only going to need to average 2 per game to get to 2nd, which I think is almost a certainty.

One other thing to remember when looking at his 3pt stats, is that
Pledger has been doing this with a 3pt line that is further back than the others.:clap

I almost forgot about this. :clap

He has made 67 on the year. With a minimum of four games left. If he averages 2 a game, he will have 75 on the season. If he gets 75 next year he will have 253. If OU gets a couple of extra games next year, he has a shot at catching Evans.
