Pledger disappears again.....

No kidding. I've never wanted a guy gone more then pledger. He's terrible. Plays ZERO defense and once every 10 games will hit more then 1 shot.
 
He's good against the nobodys.

He had to play well today and was a total no show.
 
Tyler acts like he cares at least. Pledger just going through the motions and doesn't even look for his shot. Just missed a wide open 3 there. Don't know why he is even in. Well, Osby was the ONLY one who showed up.
 
I'm so glad this is his last game as a Sooner. He's the worst "shooter" I've ever seen.

I knew we had no shot to win unless he played well. What I didn't expect was one guy and one guy only showing up to play in the second half, hence the blowout loss.

I'm still a fan of all the players who wear the Crimson & Cream, and never happy to say goodbye to any of the ones who give it their all. No one player lost this game tonight. Minus Osby, it was a true team breakdown in every facet.
 
No ****. Nobody stepped up to help osby. Disappointing end but we're not good enough to win these games. SDSU isn't anything special at all. We just aren't quite ready.
 
He had a bad game, he's been pretty inconsistent his whole career, but some of you guys need to calm down.
He's done a lot for this program and I'm glad he got to at least experience the NCAA Tournament.
 
It was a bad time for Pledger to be in a slump but it happens. Ebi's slump his senior year affected all but one or two games.

Dude you must watch some really good bball players. He's had a rough stretch to finish his career. He's a SOONER no point in bagging on him

Hopefully with Pledger graduating we can put an to these stupid threads, but I have a feeling the player is just going to change.

Well said. Outside of Osby, it was a poor team showing. The hate towards Pledger is going too far. I think it's fair to say that his game tonight was rushed due to the foul trouble. He pressed when he was in there because he spent so much time going back to the bench due to fouling. Speaking of which, I have no idea why the coaching staff matched him up with Franklin. We all recognize Pledger isn't the strongest defensive player on the team, so why in the world do we put him on the opposing team's best player who is stronger, faster and quicker? When it became clear that Pledger couldn't stick to Franklin, why didn't we make more of an effort to switch up the matchup to a guy like Cam or Buddy and leave Pledger on the floor for a bit longer to see if he could find a rhythm? Instead, he fouls and goes straight to the bench, sits a while, comes back in and is put right back on Franklin which is just asking for more trouble.

Anyway, I'm ranting a bit, but the point is that Pledger doesn't deserve to be made out to be a bum or a villain. He has his limitations just like anyone else. He did some good things as a Sooner and deserves some respect on his last game, not a boot to the backside.

Here's to hoping for an even better season next year.

My GOD, the guy played his last game and I'm sure he would have liked to have played better. He hung around through the drought, and at least he helped us return to the dance.

I wish the kid well as he moves forward with his life. He will always be a Sooner, cause that's what he wore on his jersey for 4 yrs. What the heck is wrong with you so-called adults??????

Same fans hated Austin Johnson. Pledge did good things for OU. Proud he was a sooner.

It's ridiculous. Acting like he didn't even show up and try tonight. He played hard. His shot has been inconsistent this year. It was off tonight. He didn't hang his head. He didn't start cranking up shots trying to "get his." He played hard, just not well tonight. It happens.

You don't put up the numbers/stats Pledger put up in his career, and this season, if you aren't a good player.
