Pledger is 2nd on OU's 3 point shots made list and only 12 behind Terry Evans for first all-time. He has at least 3 remaining games (one regular season game, at least one Big 12 tournament game, and at least one NCAA tournament game). He would have to make at least 4 threes a game to tie Evans, which is very possible since he is averaging 4.5 made over the last 6 games. We should win a game in the tournaments, so there's a very good chance that he breaks the record.

Do postseason stats count? I know in MLB, they don't, which always seemed strange to me.

Excellent. He certainly has been shooting it well lately.

Good for Steven! Looks like my prediction still might come true.

How do their three point percentages compare? Pledgers shot has been great the second half of the season.

Evans shot 37.11% for his career.

Entering the season, Pledger was shooting 37.08%. He is shooting 38.55% this year, and now 37.48% for his career.

So pretty similar, with a current slight edge to Pledger.

As contested as most of his shots are that's a good percentage. Has birds range improved this year wt?

How many more games do we need to get him? We have three guaranteed (reg season finale + Big 12 tourney + NCAA) but I'm not sure he can average just over four per game (perhaps TCU will get the average up, heh).

Maybe two games each in the postseason tournaments, giving him five games to get it?

My thought is he will need 4 to do it so we need to win one in either the Big 12, NCAA, or god forbid the NIT

Well apparently the pressure got to him.

TCU: 0-4 (with 3 air balls)
ISU: 1-6

Still needs 11 3's to tie Evans, which most likely isn't going to happen.

If he hits 11 threes we win a game or two in the tourney....but I'm not holding my breath.

If Brent Price had played 4 years at OU..we wouldn't even be having this discussion. He would no doubt own the record.

Also throw Hollis, if he got as many attempts, and Ricky amazing Grace

Ps-Mookie and Heskett would fit into this category. Also, I'll take mike Neal. He was never off by much

lol

Some of you guys aren't very good at math.

its going to look strange in the record books to have a player that has made more treys than everyone but one guy and look at the teams record during his stay. No hardware to show for it.
