Steven Pledger, Oklahoma, Jr., G, 6-4, 222, Chesapeake, Va./Atlantic Shores Christian School
Pledger scored 31 points in the Sooner's 79-74 win over Houston in Oklahoma's only game of the week. The junior guard posted the second-highest point total of his career on 10-of-13 (.769) shooting, including 4-of-5 (.800) from 3-point territory. He grabbed 10 rebounds to notch his first career double-double, while the point total was his most in a regulation contest. He made all seven free throws from the line with two steals and just one turnover in 37 minutes. During OU's four-game winning streak, Pledger is shooting 70.7 percent from the field and 66.7 percent from 3-point range while averaging 21.3 points and 4.3 rebounds.

Congrats to Bird. :clap

Check out these stats from Houck's twitter:

NCAA stats just released: OU's Steven Pledger ranks No. 22 w/ .604 FG%, No. 1 among all guards. Only one other guard shooting above .565.

Pledger also ranks No. 4 nationally with his .512 3-point field goal percentage. N.C. State's Scott Wood leads at .540. #Sooners

Wow! And this from a kid who some of our more learned posters contend couldn't even break the starting lineup of most Big XII teams.

Outstanding!!! Steven is very deserving of the honor!

Great job, young man! :clap

Pledger and Neal are both elite 3 point shooters. It's pretty nice to have, considering we haven't had a great 3 point shooter since Michael Neal's first season on campus, and probably Quannas and Hollis prior to that.

Who got co-honors and what did they do because those numbers are off the chart?
