Nantz said the OU coaches are "really excited about" Polla. They also raved about his footwork.

Why hasn't he played more? When I've watched him, he can make FT's and rebound. He's also physical.

I hope they are excited about him and I hope he continues to improve.

There are some on here that have predicted that he will not be on the OU roster next season. I do not know. We shall see.

I was happy to see him get into the game and get a bucket.

Every time I see him play he looks like a capable big. Not a star, but a hustler who plays with physicality. Seems like a guy who should play more.

Can’t play defense. Seems like a good kid & the players love him but he can’t guard.

We were screaming for him to shoot every time he touched it. He was definitely getting the “Oleg Retsov” treatment from the fans.

we useta love screaming for Oleg at LNC. top dawg would come over to C27 or whatever it was and holler with us.

He’s ungodly slow and gets abused defensively

Good dude though

I found it amusing that Ole Miss listed their big guy at 270. He was half the width of Polla

And Joe Seager before him, who once entered an OU game with his jersey on backwards! Classic

He is a lot more skilled than Oleg. Too bad he has concrete for feet or he could really help OU on a consistent basis.

They also were raving about Odomes being a good shooter, so I passed that comment off as someone who doesn’t know the team well. But it was weird they said the coaches rave about him.

sounded like tv-speak to me. coaches tell them some generic stuff and they make some generic stuff out of it. they knew nothing about this team.

It’s funny how Odomes has become a solid FT shooter (70% since mid January) and at the same time Reynolds and Calixte have tanked

I don’t know how his footwork can be great when he can’t move his feet. He will never be a contributor at this level unfortunately.

I remember that well.

The one that stands out in my memory were the calls for "Ski" in the late 1980s when Billy Tubbs had a big lead. Billy, being the showman that he was, would play it for all it was worth. After the crowd chanted for "Ski," Billy would sometimes have Jason Skurcenski get up off the bench and the crowd would go wild. Then, Billy he would grab "Ski's" jersey and talk to him through several possessions and the crowd would mumble and groan. Finally, Billy would push "Ski" towards the scoring table and the crowd would react again.

There is only One Oklahoma. But there will never be another Billy Tubbs.

Two completely different things. One is about pivoting, step through, & angles. The other is about foot speed.
