Honestly many will disagree but I would like Los or otega to stay for all 4 years. It’d be nice to watch a player develop and stay w Oklahoma all 4 years imo. Just me though
Normally I would agree, but they are on the Benjamin Button development plan under Moser. If they stick around two more years, they may not even remember how to put on their uniforms by 2026.

If we get Garrison, then I hope Los stays. They'd be a perfect fit in the PnR.

Yes and no.

Can we get better athletes? I don't know.
Can we get players with two years of experience in our system? No.
Can we get better shooters and more skilled players? Probably.

You lose those two, you better not lose another key contributor that we're not already losing. I don't think OU can turnover that much roster and be successful next year.
Pretty sure you tagged on both players every game thread.

They are very replaceable players

He’s actually been a good recruiter in addition to “Portal Moser”. Its retention that has sucked.

Finally getting around to making a chart, graphic, whatever I end up doing, lol....still brainstorming.

Random: What's odd about Los? His dad, Mike, just signed up for X this month. He's followed 114 accounts so far and outside of following @RivalsPortal, it's mostly Las Vegas basketball-related or OU-related. You wouldn't really say his dad's activity points to transferring/being unhappy. But yeah, the expectation of a departure is still, clearly, there.

We have yet to put anyone on anything more than an honorable mention all conference team. I’m dumbfounded by how many people act like his recruiting is so good, outside Waldo and Moore.

This is what I hate about college sports nowadays. Los and Oweh had down years, but they are just sophomores. What has happened to getting in the gym and putting in the work to get better? Instead, it is I’m entering the portal, if the reports are true.

If anyone wants to nerd out and watch players...

-------

Trilly has this dude heading to the portal (not public yet).

6'7. 16 ppg. 47% from 3P. OU probably wouldn't win out but fill his DMs/phone with "contact".

I don’t disagree, but maybe they also are frustrated with the coach and feel like there isn’t much of a chance of winning if they stay. Of course, the counter argument is that their poor play is a big factor in our lack of success this year.

I agree in general, but to be honest, they may just think this OU coaching staff isn't the one to develop them.

And judging from player development the last three years, or lack of it, I can't really disagree with them.

One of the other sites is reporting that Cooper is likely to hit the portal. Hopefully they are wrong.
If that is true, this will be Moser's last season. I kind of feel that way anyways, but if he can't hold onto a kid like that, after one season, there really isn't any reason to keep him.

Should have canned him this year.

There is just no progress in the program right now. I’m sure the players feel it more than anyone.

And it’s more than not making the tournament. The last month of the season was awful.

IF, and it's a big if, you can believe the rumors, that Jacob Crews kid got $400K from Mizzou.

I mean, he's a good player, but that feels like too much. He plays very little defense. Eh, Mizzou is pretty desperate, I guess.
