There is just no progress in the program right now. I’m sure the players feel it more than anyone.

And it’s more than not making the tournament. The last month of the season was awful.
And that is probably my second biggest complaint about Moser.

First is lack of player development. Second is that the program isn't trending up. Yes, even with an improved season this year, I can't look at the next couple of years and definitively say that the program will continue improving. We lost some of our better players this year. We're expecting massive turnover again this offseason. I get it, to some extent that is going to happen, but OU basketball is going to need a certain level of roster consistency and buy-in from the players or we're not going to be able to have the program we all want. Here we are, again, likely rebuilding most of the roster.

It’s the captain crimson site, but they post a lot of weakly sourced rumors and are right some and wrong a lot I feel like.
Yep, not the best site for accurate information.

And neither is TOS (Rivals). Their kid reporter is literally copying rumors on Twitter and putting them in his own words to appear he is doing the work. We saw this with the PM to Depaul rumors where it appeared he was just "reporting" rumors. Not to individually slam him but that site is not breaking actual news. We all know how bad the lead guys are on the site on being ambiguous and then claiming they broke the news. Yesterday the kid tweeted out news on OU reaching out to Kanaan Carlyle "per reports" on his own tweet literally two minutes after Stoop Bros retweeted Joe Tipton's report from On3.

Just saying, be careful on what rumors and sites one trusts on basketball news. A lot of rumors just get tossed around as news.

This is what I hate about college sports nowadays. Los and Oweh had down years, but they are just sophomores. What has happened to getting in the gym and putting in the work to get better? Instead, it is I’m entering the portal, if the reports are true.

I agree and entering the portal doesn't necessarily make you better either. They gotta put the work in and get better.

IF, and it's a big if, you can believe the rumors, that Jacob Crews kid got $400K from Mizzou.

I mean, he's a good player, but that feels like too much. He plays very little defense. Eh, Mizzou is pretty desperate, I guess.
I just don't believe the big numbers unless its for an all American power conference player. If its all true, players are gonna quit passing the ball lol

Do we know they didn't put in the time in the gym? The talk leading into the season was glowing about both of them and the roles they had taken on as leaders. I realize we didn't have many other returning players, but it would be strange for Moser to publicly name them the leaders, take them to media day, and praise their growth if they hadn't been working. Is it not possible that the staff just didn't do a great job developing them, and that the system didn't play to their strengths? I don't know the answer, but I would guess that the players and coaches share blame.

Seems like most all people have a Trilly sub to get information regarding bball. The guy prob isn’t charging enough for what he does.

Even worse.

It was the same report from On3- their competitor- and tweeted out 2 minute later as “reports say”.

He’s trying to add value to their board by providing bball news, but is just regurgitating news and rumors from other sites and tweets. But for subs that is more than they’ve ever received from that site.

I will say, He is trying though. And at least he loves OUbball, follows it,and has an interest in it. Better than the other guys running that site

Two names that have been brought up today - Lusk & Captain - are both on Trilly's discord.

As am I but I'll obviously credit him, unless I just forget, or don't find the info all that important (like some random non-OU related coaching news). I'm also not trying to get subs, lol. Different type of deal entirely.

Probably my favorite guard I’ve seen us connected to so far. From outside of Houston so A&M and LSU are likely going to be tough competition for him but he’d be nice to have. Has experience playing higher level teams and succeeding (look at his FAU and Memphis stat lines this year)
