Porter to.........Villanova???

Nope, we should listen to JV coaches who occasionally get "insider" info and who will never criticize a fellow coach, and whose most frequent posts consist primarily of "lol.:
Maybe we should listen to the opinion of a national champ!

Oh wait that would mean you’d have to admit you’re clueless.

Genuinely who do you think would be better than Porter that OU could realistically get?
Will Wade- Is he gettable? ehh probably not
Ryan Odom- Probably Virginia's next coach but if they somehow go elsewhere then throw your hat in the ring.

Guys I'd rather take a flyer on rather than keep Moser:
Bryan Hodgeson
Ben McCollum- Honestly probably better than porter but just 1 D1 season gets him here.

Daq, it's impossible. We cannot possibly win games with only a late lottery pick on the roster.

We need 5 lottery picks, a state of the art stadium, unprecedented fan support, extra 3-4 million a year.. THEN and only THEN, will pm draw up inbounds plays, ect.
getting Fears in August was PURE luck ..

what would the OU record be with out him ??

Me personally i want moser to stay momentum is building

well...he's staying unless nova or someone else is stupid enough to hire him and pay his buyout.....
if squeaking into the tournament is momentum....i guess
but here's the problem....we squeaked in because a first round nba draft pick fell into pm's lap at the last minute.
chances of that happening before next season is pretty close to zero.
so with the roster we're likely to get....pm will go back to watching the tournament from his living room next season.
and that very slight bit of momentum....is dead

I'm old enough to remember when Kansas State's coach was the guy we should have hired instead of Moser.
Made the elite 8 AND has a better win % than pm so... and oh, also because of those things, ksu is pouring money into the program.. so yeah, he would likely have been better

San Diego coach (Olen). McCollum. Medved (CSU). Three guys in the tourney who almost certainly would jump at the chance to get a massive raise and test themselves in the best conference in the country.
Medved has an agreement with Minnesota. That's his home, and he'll take the job when CSU is out of the tournament.

I'd take McCollum in a heartbeat. He's talking to Iowa. He didn't go there, but that's his home state. He is very picky. He stayed at NW Missouri State longer than he could have so that he could find the right job. He took some guys with him to Drake and has won 30 games this year.

I'd also be interested in Eric Olen. Not sure if he could make the jump from the Big West to the SEC. He's originally from Mobile, AL, but has spent most of his adult life at UCSD. He was an assistant there under 2 coaches before becoming the head coach, killed it in D-2, and guided them through the 5 year transition to where they are now. He'll probably be in the Mountain West or new Pac-12 next year, but I think he'd be worth kicking the tires on.

Olen had 3 tough years and 2 good. I get it the transition would have been difficult. He'd be on my list, but not near the top right away
