Possible transfers

Is UNC messing with who we thought we were going to get?

Sounds like it. The fact that UNC offered Bishop and then OU offered Langston Wilson, who's a pretty similar player tells me that Bishop was the guy.

We have plenty of competition for Langston’s services. He has more than 30 offers—our old nemesis KU is one of them.

Just waiting to see an announcement that Krutwig and both Groves brothers are transferring to OU. An offseason in our strength and conditioning program could do wonders for them.

They could not do anything until the season starts and be just fine

So...

Are we going to hear any good news about transfers?

I'm starting to get concerned. OU struggles so much trying to get post players.

Recruiting is difficult anyway, but when your goal is to recruit good kids while staying above board, it's a really difficult game. While Moser has had great success at Loyola, recruiting big time guys is a new thing to him. It's going to take a little adjustment I would guess.

Also, there are 1,000+ players on the market. We'll get some posts that can play ... just maybe not the ones we wanted right away.

Its like shopping for a new car. After you decide what model you are looking for and go to the dealership they might not have the exact color you want, they might not have one with leather seats, they might not have one with the Bose speakers you were looking for....you either settle for one that isn't exactly like you wanted or you keep looking for one that is as close as possible to your dream car. LOL You know when you find it.

Yeah it would be like that if the car also has to choose you lol

Yes, if moser wasn’t already aware of the pay to play programs then he will be soon. He doesn’t seem like the type of guy to bend the rules. Think we can hear in his press conference that he was promised time to build the program the right way. That probably means it will be a slower process unless he can have a Blake fall into his lap.

The good news is he competed at a pretty high level without those guys that many would consider top tier guys. So he is likely developing players well. That said, he will be able to land better athletes at OU than he was at LC...hopefully he will develop them just as well.

I'm curious how he will go about recruiting guys that fit his style compared to the ones he was recruiting at LC that fit his style. It will be fun to watch.

It may be difficult but not impossible. OU has alot going for it, alot more than some on here give it credit for. Worldwide brand. Jordan. Need. Moser is at a disadvantage in some ways because he hasn't been here long, but believe me he has alot going for him. When I see teams like Tennessee getting great HS recruits and transfers.. I mean I don't have the time to name them all but there are tons of programs with tons less going for them than OU getting really good players. Have some faith! Let's see how it plays out.
