Presuming OU gets into NCAA, what changes would you make?

Griffin can't even catch the ball when thrown to her most of the time. I would love to know how many times she has had the ball fed to her and it either goes out of bounds or to the other team, a bunch
 
Four things:

1. Cut down on turnovers. If a player makes a careless turnover I wanna see them on the bench for a little.
2. MADE LAYUPS BY ALL. I've been accused of being hard on post players not making there inside shots but we miss many by the guards also.
3. When a player begins to effect the flow of the offense by taking a shot when they aren't open or forcing a shot when we should keep zipping the ball around, I wanna see them out for a while getting talked to, not yelled at, just talked to. The green light for all has hurt us in many games. I wanna see them looking for option 1 (Vegas) then option two (insert player) and so on. We should not go 5 minutes without Vegas or Morgan or Kornet taking a shot.
4. The post catching the ball and being aggressive and also feeding opposite wings for shots. We need to get inside outside going and we can go far.
 
Concentrate on defense. Obviously, the ball is not going to always go in the hoop.
 
Current starting five is fine. I also want to see more inside out in the post. Good clean passes no BOUNCE passes into a double team. I want more accountability on perimeter defense, we can't leave three point shooters wide open to bury us. Would love to see more passing and less dribbling, I have beat the drum all year on this, doubt we see it. I would love to see Kornet and Wyatt use their skills at driving and popping 10 footers instead of being a one trick pony. Wyatt made her living in high school as a slasher and hasn't had a chance to show it. Lastly, and we have shown it in the last few games, show more passion in rebounding the basketball. Kornet is becoming a monster at following the ball and stealing offensive boards, I want all to be like her.

The talent is here, lets see a little "chemistry" for the big dance. Sure would be nice.
 
And...everybody on this site needs to take vacation and attend the NCAA games... Cheer like champions and do your part to help them reach the sweet 16! You spend a lot of time commenting now get out to the game wherever it is and wherever you are...become a true fan...no excuses...just go. Do I have everybody's commitment on this? That is what I would change, actually you attend the game versus reading box scores and commenting. Ok...roll call who is in? I am...who is next, don't just say you will...actually do it!!
 
thats gonna be a lonely ride, my friend. That would involve these folks spending money on this team and since they under-performed no need to support them. HAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAAHAHA

It is tons of fun if you have the means. Sadly, unlike regular season or conference tourneys that have location and game days/times set months in advance, the NCAA tourney is bit more up in the air till about a week out. If I had Boone Pickens money, I'd love to pretend that I was still in basketball pep band and jet around the country for a few weeks. I'd buy the 21+ beer then host a sign making party with everyone else.

Maybe someday when I'm retired, living in Norman and do nothing but attend OU sporting events. Hope they don't raise the SS age to 96 by then :P
 
For The Record I've been in the stands for many of the games this year. I gave my season tickets to my oldest daughter and her family because my granddaughter is playing basketball and likes to go.

Going to the NCAA? Well, give me some insider information...

Do you know what bracket we will actually be in? When will we play - time and day?

What special packages is OU putting out there for OU season ticket holders and fans? Got any hotel suggestions?

I've followed this team to the NCAA's plenty and to the Big 12. I didn't go to the Big 12 because I had other things to do.

BTW, Spider, I've held 4 season tickets since Stacy Dales almost single handidly won us a national championship. How long have you had yours?

I am going to be spending a month in Europe this summer to celebrate more than 4 decades of marriage. So, financially I'll have to determine if it's feasible.

If I was more assured that we were going to be more than one and done, possibly.

However, Spider, if you want to foot my bill -- as one of the only true lovers of the program on this site -- I would be more than grateful to go at your expense. You don't even have to put us in the same hotel or have tickets next to each other!

It's your board and you can certainly do what you would like, but I'd ask you to rescind the bans for Spider and Darth.

I've got thick skin and I give as good as I get. Nothing they said bothered me.

I hope you will reconsider.
 
Oliver, it wasn't just what they said to you. There have been other things said that earned them a vacation.
 
Interesting that if people on this board don't agree with Oliver Hardy or SoonerNorm they get band. I read both of their post and neither was offensive. In fact Oliver Hardy's comments were more negative and attacking than either JGSpider or DarthSooner yet that they get booted and here is Oliver Hardy and SoonerNorm still on the board. I have also seen SoonerNorm use offense language but yet still here. I still have a post that I copied from Oliver Hardy from 3 years ago that should have banned him for life not only on this board but from OU womens basketball games. Yet again he is still here because of favortized sensorship. Perhaps other actions should now be taken with that post. Oh, I guess I will be the next one banned for speaking up.

Disagreements have nothing to do with the way these boards operate. If you want to send me a PM giving me specifics of what you are referring to, I will be happy to review and respond.
 
If that were even remotely true, 81, Syb and many others would have been banned. I agree and disagree with many people on this board. By in large we all get along here better than any other OU board I've read.

Upon reflection, my attempt at a little humor at darth's expense was over the line and I should have apologized. If the admins think I deserve a ban, then I will take it like a man.

Not everyone has to fit everyone else's idea of what fandom is.

If you're keeping people's posts for three years, i find that more revealing about what type of person you are than anything you have ever posted here.

Let's talk some basketball, OK?
