Question about Mustang boys...

That doesn't matter. Tulsa area. If I knew you better I'd pm you but I'll remain anonymous.

Seriously? You're actually a coach? I'm speechless that someone that coaches would say the things you've said.

Whatever. Meyer is 50 times the player he was as a freshman.

BTW, what's the recruiting pitch for a high school player? "Come to my school and you'll get to play basketball and get your high school diploma paid for..." Think about that for a second. Two of these kids MOVED to Mustang, primarily because Terry has an existing relationship with them through A1...the rest have relationships with kids on the team and want the best chance to get a scholarship. If by recruiting you mean Terry told them he'd help them get that scholarship, then that's fair. Problem is, you guys are implying he can't coach and the kids are low level D1 talent. There's loads of 6A schools with that kind of talent and Mustang beat most of them by 20.

BTW, guess who was named the tournament MVP? It wasn't any of the "recruits".

Lots of jealousy and butt hurt.

Who is high d1? I'm implying bc at this time and that could change who is high d1 on the team?

I never said anyone is. What I can tell you is Texas has been at several games late in the year to watch Meyer. Rumor is, OU pulled the offers to Meyer and Long, but Kruger has been to a couple of the same games UT was at. He even jumped to his feet and applauded a nice play during a run in the NN game.

Edit: KU was at a game too.

You said "none are from Mustang". If I hadn't cleared that up for him, he'd have bought the story that Terry can only win with recruits.

Lol. I think it's safe to assume all 14-15 guys suited weren't recruited.. I think most on this board have common knowledge. We were talking the meat of mustang is recruited. Look on Twitter... Media, fellow 6-5-4acoaches all mention mustang being a recruited team.

It's not just my opinion. Enjoy your sons state ring. They'll win it again next year. Long will leave. In my opinion.

They suit up 13.

If that's what they're doing, they're as sad as you.

Again, I have no son on the team. He hasn't played for 4 years...not his sport.

I expect Terry to leave after next year as well. Surely, you guys aren't counting his son as a recruit, right?

I rest my case. Thank you for winning for me. :fexas-logo:

As for Meyer he has tweaked a few things but he hasn't grown into the player many thought he would be. He is still athletic with no post moves hopefully he works hard this summer and gets it. Why would I be butt hurt? I have no cards in this. Long has recruited kids, he did it at Douglass these are FACTS. I do thinks that's unfair to do at the HS level. But I'm not mad about it. I never said he couldn't coach I said Long wins with talent. Similar to Calapari.

I hope you're better at coaching and winning in basketball than you are at spreading lies...something tells me you're not.

Once again what lies? Are you a player? 14-15 yrs old?

Ok you you win. Carry on, Mustang recruiting is a sensitive issue for you

Sorry. Long, Meyer, and the rest of crew should all go to the same school, duke, unc, and see if they can beat Kentucky.

Again, define "recruiting". Please explain how a high school coach recruits. Also, are you contending his son qualifies as a "recruit". I'm not sure what FACTS you have but I've never seen anyone post a FACT. Just seems like a convenient line to me.

Not going to reply to the classless coach that seems to want to spread lies about kids not being from Mustang.

Please move this thread to the smack board. That is all it has become.

More like come win a state tournament and be guaranteed to be seen multiple times in season by D1 coaches.

Not that I could care either way, just pointing out the obvious ;)
