I know the NCAA rules allow for coaches to oversee 2 hours of practice a week during the summer, and today is the first day of the fall semester. Do they still get 2 hours/week until the regular season practices begin? Also, the rules were changed a couple of years ago to allow teams to begin their regular season practices 42 days before the first scheduled game (not exhibition), and games aren't allowed to be scheduled before the second Friday in November which would be Nov 13th this year (OU's first game is the 17th). Teams can have a total 30 days of practice in the six weeks before the first allowable regular-season game.
That would tell me OU will begin practice on Saturday, September 26th which is an off weekend for the football team. Does anyone know if that is right?
