Today is the 14th anniversary of the terrible plane crash that killed 10 people including 2 players. Truly a sad event for all sports fans.

I was a junior in high school when this happened... was hanging out with friends when we heard the news. Horrible ordeal.
I remember (and I don't even know for sure if this is true), feeling proud that Kelvin was the first coach to call Eddie Sutton after this happened.

Was that a Saturday night? I remember getting home kind of late, and my dad watching tv telling me what had happened. Didn't believe him.
Still remember the OU/OSU game later that year. Tons of emotion. At the end of the day, we're all Oklahomans.

I'll never forget when I heard the news. My brother was in the hospital, I was in the waiting room and watched the news break live. Really terrible deal. And to think a similar crash happened to their girls team back in 2011... They're hoops programs have been through a couple terrible tragedies over the last 14 years.
