@KU - Loss
@OSU - Win by 2
@ISU - Loss
@Baylor - Win
@LSU - Win by 2
@KSU - Loss
@TT - Loss
@WVU - Win
@UT - Loss

4-5 with two of those wins being by 2 points each.

I was hoping this was our year to get over the hump but just not quite good enough defensively and not enough inside-out game.

Oh well, we are what we are. Maybe we get get the 2 point wins in the tourney and move on.

It's the losses to Tech and KSU that really bother me. @KU @ISU, and @ut are tough games that we were going to have a tough time winning anyway.

Texas is playing really well right now....especially on the defensive end. I didn't expect us to win today, but I also didn't expect the "nuclear level" meltdown at the end of the game either.

Not feeling very optimistic about a really deep run in March. I think the Sweet 16 is very attainable, but after that, it depends on matchups and our depth (or lack of it).

def struggling...the end of this game, wow...ut just had more defensive energy, forced ou to make some poor choices, give them credit but I think ou's decisions weren't the best either.

The biggest issue I saw was the ability for ut to drive and they did. We didn't therefor didn't get ut's bigs in any foul trouble.

After Lattin we just don't have any defensive presence around the rim.

Ah well, another day.

Style of play really isn't that conducive to tough road environments.

Road games since the start of conference play...

@ #1 KU - Missed free throw to beat the #1 team
@ NR OSU - Win by 2
@#17 ISU - Loss when Morris hits a closely guarded jumper to break a tie with :20 left
@#16 Baylor - Run them out of their own gym
@ NR LSU - Win by 2 where UK lost by 18
@ NR KSU - Loss
@#29 TT - Loss on a missed call with under 5 seconds left (would have put that 57% FT shooter at the line, granted)
@#12 WVU - Dominate the end game and win going away
@#25 UT - Outplay a top 25 team for 34 minutes but go cold at the end

Kansas, for comparison:

@#29 TT - Won 69-59
@#12 WVU - Lost 63-74
@ NR OSU - Lost 67-86
@#17 ISU - Lost 72-85
@ NR TCU - Won 75-56
@ #3 OU - Won 76-72
@ NR KSU - Won 72-63
@#16 Baylor - Won 66-60

They have not yet played at Texas.

To be honest, only two games this whole season bother me: Kansas at home, which should have been a win, and KSU on the road, which was just bad. (Not as bad as Kansas losing at OSU, but still bad.)

Nobody in the country outside of KU would've done better against that schedule and KU lost in Stillwater and @ WVU. Prior to the season I'd take that record against those teams. @ KState, @ Tech, and @ ut are disappointing, tho.

Completely agree.

Keep telling yourself that.

Unrealistic to think otherwise. Just an observation, WT, but you seem to be one of those people who say 'I don't like to say I told you so but..' who actually get off on saying 'I told you so'. Not a quality I particularly like or respect. Again, just an observation.

So some other teams in the country would have done better then us on the road - and ? What's the point we're not the best team in the country and we're not playing well right now. It's like you go out of your way trying to prove a point that's been clear for the last month and pat yourself on the back each time doing so.

Who are you talking to?

I don't think anyone has said we are playing our best lately.

If someone is going to assert that other teams could do even better on the road in the Big XII this year, they must have that team or teams in mind.

And what point do you think that is, exactly?

I think he's saying he agrees with you but just doesn't want to hear it or read it.

I was hoping (best case) for going 5-4 on the road, 9-0 at home,

If i have to settle for 4-5 and 8-1, I'll still be satisfied!
