Romero Osby a Sooner per Evan Daniels of Scout

A combination of donations and revenue

If this message board featured a post-season awards show presenting posters with year-end awards called "Hoopys" I would nominate this post for a Hoopy.

OU just got more athletic. Nice to see a team gaining more balance. It's all about match-ups, so he just takes the athletic role.

So who got recruited over? Hardrick?

I guess both will be classified as jrs when Osby is eligible?

Someone needs to post a current roster with positions and class so I can keep up.

This is the 13th ship, so "technically" no one has been recruited over.

can't believe some with a negative spin - this is an excellent acquisition.

Like just about everything else that has happened with this program this offseason, I am not sure what to make of this.

This was my thought. I don't know what to think. Out of high school I remember him being very highly recruited.
But then he's done virtually nothing at Miss. State.
Hopefully all he needs is a change of scenery.

kelly did very well for kstate after showing nothing at uconn. udoh was tremendous for baylor after being average at michigan. why not osby?

diary of oklahoma sooners 2010-11 you think you know but you have no idea!!:chestram2:

He's got good handles and looks like an outstanding athlete.

Great pickup!

Hmmmm.... I'm intrigued.... He looks athletic I just wish he was avalailable to play right away

Capel must be really excited about this kid to give him a scholly instead of having an extra scholly to give to a 2011 kid

He was in town this weekend along with CJ. Heard they both met and even played a little and hit it off. Osby was seen out at Charleston's with Coach Betts by OUguy11 if he wants to add anything else, said he was pretty muscled up. I like the pickup just wish he could play right away.

Sounds like he has been forced to play inside, they list him as a power forward, and he wants to play outside, think Rasheed Wallace.

From the videos I saw, looks like he could easily play the 3, much like Tony Crocker, but taller. If he can hit 41% from three, I say let him play outside.

Since he has to sit out a year, is there anyway around tying up a BB ship? I would still like a shot at Noreen.

Couldn't agree more. Noreen looks like a nice player. This kid looks very athletic with a shot, length, and good wheels. If OU gets Noreen too, there is a way to work out the scholarship numbers.

sounds like a very good get to me. anytime you can get a top 100 player, heck top 50...we need bodies and legit D-1 players. have to believe not all the Jucos will pan out.

You're talking about a guy who would probably started for us this past year, next year, and in 2011. If I'm recruiting for 2011, he's probably the best prospect that OU is in on. Also you're talking about a guy who had to play behind Varnardo and Augustus.
