Just wanted to see what we can piece together about next season's schedule. Obviously they will play three good teams in the Phil Knight Invitational, and they play at Wichita State. It seems like I heard about another nonconference opponent a while back, but can't remember who. Anyone else know of other games that have been announced?

They have an agreement on a very good team that is being held up by the powers.

They're playing in the Phil Knight Nike Tournament thing in Portland in November. Return trip to Wichita State?

That will be mostly top 25 teams too. Good early season test for all. Not end of the world if they go 1-2 or 0-3.

Portland and Portland state are the only non power 5 schools to be there except Butler, Georgetown and UCONN. But those are three great programs that should be better than last year (UCONN at least).

The event will consist of two brackets of eight teams, with each bracket limited to one team per conference. Games will be played on Thursday, November 23; Friday, November 24; and Sunday, November 26. Stay tuned for the bracket announcement and game schedules.

Something tells me you won't have these same sentiments if ou happens to go 1-2 or 0-3.

For me, I will be very disappointed with anything less than 2-1. No excuses for next season after what we witnessed this season.

I don't want a murderer's row of a schedule next season. I very much want to see a turnaround and I don't care if it's in part due to a relatively easy non-conference schedule. We'll face plenty of tough battles in conference, and few people --among our fans or the members of the media -- took into account how tough our schedule was this season.

I'm not sure I can celebrate any more moral victories for a while.

Really?!

Don't forget you're talking about an OU fan base where anything short of perfection is usually not good enough. I'm also wondering if you're going to be able to soften your own position that much? You have definitely changed in the last couple of months, for the good I might add. I'm just saying being content with a record of 1-2, or even worse 0-3, may be a bit of a stretch.

Forgive me, but I'll have to see it to believe it. :)
