Scouting Cal-State Bakersfield | The Oklahoman

Hard to know what you're going to get out of this game. Their two best opponents were Saint Mary's (lost by 35) and New Mexico State (split games). Other than that, they have played nobody all year.

IF OU doesn't win by 20 I'll be surprised. BUT, with that said...it's MM..anything can happen. I do expect a sluggish start..or tight..or whatever.

I'd think we'd pull away mid-point 2nd half.

According to Kenpom, they can defend but can't score. We'll have to find ways to score if our 3 pointers aren't falling. But that's the same as any game. On paper, we should win handily. We just can't tighten up if the shots don't fall. We're definitely aided by the fact that the game is in OKC. Usually the underdogs become crowd favorites but that shouldn't happen even if the game is closer than we would like.

Really like that it's their first trip to the tourney.

Playing a a psuedo home game isn't so bad either - after traveling to see our gang the last 3 years and how little support they got it's so awesome to see these guys get the support they deserve.

we are really bigger...their post guys are 6'4..1 guy at 6'9 but paper says he's not very athletic.

leading scorer is 5'10 160lbs

Which Big 12 game was it that Spangler suddenly realized he was bigger than his defender? That game was fun.

Their scoring is fairly evenly spread among the players. That requires good defense which we should provide.
